It could be AH, however I have seen some confuse Art harris with Mike Brooks since they are both bald...One way to tell the difference though is Art Harris has an orange glow complexion whereas Mike Brooks doesn't...JMHO

So, for those of you familiar with the area. What other areas are there that would be a likely place for a body dump? Let's see if we can brainstorm and figure out some solid ideas where she might be.

TY sorry for the rant. It just frustrates me when news shows perpetuate the myths of EVIL witches casting curses and dancing around naked with devils demons. Witches don't believe in "devils and demons" let alone cavort with them.

But the most important thing is finding Zahra so I am going to stop getting all riled up about it. People who want to believe that are going to - I need to quit wasting my time and breath

This is OT, but I work with a woman who is a witch and she is one of the sweetest, most humble people I know.

HICKORY, N.C — Friends and family of Zahra Baker held a private memorial Sunday afternoon.
Close to two dozen of Zahra Baker's closest relatives, including her father, met outside the house where the 10-year-old was reported missing more than a week ago which has been unoccupied since that day.
They formed a ring with their vehicles near the wood piles outside the home and some could be seen writing on pieces of paper while others wrote on balloons. Some notes read “we love you”, “Zahra, we miss you” and others urged readers to call police with information.
After 15 to 20 minutes the group gathered together with the mostly pink and purple balloons and released them into the sky. While Adam Baker gathered belongings in the backyard the group built another ring of cars around the tree in the front yard. They taped more pictures to the tree, and hung angels.
As quickly as they came, the group left.

I was looking at aerial maps last night. The Catawba River and Lake Hickory are large bodies of water - searching those could be difficult because of the size alone. Any locals know how fast the currents are in those. Lake Hickory doesn't look like a lake at all - more like a flowing river. It seems to be the county line between Caldwell and Catawba - with Burke county line down on the southwest corner.

Local DA on CNN can't discuss much but alot of info he has about case has come to him same way as us, through media. Very disturbing. Whatever he does know about case, he can't talk about yet.

No indication of body disposal via wood chipper. LE has about ruled that theory out.

When asked if Adam "lead" LE there Burke LE responded "he drove up here with the investigating officers. I cannot speak to whether he was "leading" (paraphrased by me)

This has terrified me, the thought of what could have happened. How have they come to rule it out now?
Didn't the dogs "hit" on the woodchipper or a part of the woodchipper?

Other posters already addressed your question about forgery specifically. But I thought I'd answer the "common law" part of your question and why you may hear the phrase "common law marriage."

"Common law" is a legal term of art. It refers to law that is developed by judges making decisions in legal cases. Legal decisions become the basis for subsequent rulings in other cases. That's called precedent.

Statutory law is law passed by the legislative branch of government, i.e., statutes passed by Congress or a state legislature.

Marriage laws are statutory laws passed by individual states. To be married legally, you must do X, Y, and Z--whatever is required by the state where you obtain your marriage license.

A common law marriage, however, is recognized by the state when an unmarried couple has lived together for a certain number of years (I think it's 7) and holds themselves out to be husband and wife. In every other way, they act as a married couple. They just never went through the legal process of civil marriage. So under common law, courts decided (based on equity rather than statute) that the couple is married in common law.

Anyway, that's what common law is and where the term common law marriage comes from. Hope that's helpful.

Probably clothes and toiletries, anyone know if he has been asked to relocate while investigators preserve the residence as a possible crime scene since we have no way of knowing yet whether it was?

If he has been asked to relocate, that may explain the report on CNN last night, and tonight that AB has not been seen. Perhaps that is why he was on scene while LE was executing search warrant and removing items? Kill two birds, one stone, let him gather what he needs while being supervised so nothing relevant to Zahra walks away with him?

All speculation, no factual knowledge.

TY but can you further elaborate as to what it might mean in reference to the charges against EB? ie. what exactly would be the offense described as common law and are tehre other types of forgery that would be described as INSERT DESCRIPTIVE WORD HERE forgery?

The hit was not on the wood chipper itself but the engine, and they determined the blood could have come from a cut on a worker’s hand.

Them ruling out the woodchipper answers a huge question for me. How AB could cooperate so easily with that area. It's just my feelings but he knows where Zahra is, knows the wood chipper had nothing to do with it.

I bet the closer LE gets to Zahra the quieter and uncooperative he will get. That will be a big indicator as to whether or not LE is getting close. His cooperation.

Again it's just my thoughts and feelings.

Yea passionflower I caught that as well.

First they pulled around the back of the house and circled the cars around a woodpile and then they pulled the cars around in a circle around the tree in the front yard.

I found that strange - never heard of anything like that during a vigil.
