Channel 9 has been able to confirm from police that the missing Hickory girl, Zahra Clare Baker, did move to Hickory with her family from Sawmills and have confirmed that she was alive as recently as mid-September.

HICKORY, N.C. -- Police said they have searched four properties in Caldwell County where the family lived and have launched another massive search of the remote area on Thursday afternoon for any clues that would lead to Zahra Clare Baker.

It's also a work site. Could have been a hit(s) from a injury(ies) that occurred to a worker(s).

Now THIS is entirely possible.

While possible, you would think the owner or an employee would have provided that information as soon as the "hits" were announced in order to clear any suspicion on LE's part. Also, since the dogs hit on the vehicles, they are probably operating under the assumption that

decomp in woodchipper/mulch =
someone was killed

and the only person missing is Zahra.

Unfortunately, I think this case was already very, very cold when we and police first got wind of it, and police have firmly concluded that now, so stopped running search operations as if it had been a recent disappearance.

I suspect a lot of media outlets have edited out this info from published articles, after realizing it couldn't be true. There was a lot of noise about it when she first said it, but now hard to find anything about it in online print media.

Thanks Pink! I have'nt seen anything else either. Would think if she had been looking for her more would have been said about it and she would be speaking out. I just wish Zahra would have stayed in Australia with her Grandmother and never have met with this evil! :furious:

Forgive me for my ignorance but why would the judge seal the documentation of the search warrant, would it be so the media cannot get a hold of it?

Hi guys, just thinking. With the reports yesterday about the other ponds in the same vicinity that they searched last night, I would think something specific led them to that particular one. Otherwise, wouldn't they have moved on to the next pond today and drained/searched it as well?

I don't know what to think about Adam at this point in time to be honest.

He could: (in no particular order)

1. Be in cahoots with his wife, know what happened, when it happened and either disposed of or helped to dispose of Zahra. (actually I'm with this one today but that could change)

2. He could have killed her himself, and SM knew what happened, when it happened and either disposed of or she helped dispose of Zahra. (meh maybe/maybe not)

3. He could be so clueless and detached from Zahra that he didn't know she had been murdered when she was murdered and had no clue that SM disposed of Zahra. He knew that she was cruel and beat Zahra, but may have just never concluded that SM would murder Zahra in a fit of rage and dispose of her. Or he realized that once Zahra was deceased that he could go down for it too. So he tried to save SM and himself by disposing of Zahra.

Who the heck knows? I know what I "think" but I sure don't know for sure. JMHO.

#3 could be what happened but if she has been missing for a longer time say 1 month (LE still is not sure when she went missing) then he was involved more than just being clueless.

I wonder where Zahra lived between 2000 - 2004 after the divorce of her parents. Also, I wonder if the Zahra's mother was even aware that her daughter had bone cancer and secondary lung cancer.

Well, the media, Adam, SM's attorneys. They are just trying not to tip their hats as to what they are actually looking for...it kinda keeps the perps guessing as to what LE actually has.

Can someone please explain to me how AB is brainwashed? I tend to believe he is just covering his own @$$ and is afraid he might go to prison.

Many seemingly good people do horrible things.

It's my impression she was the dominate partner in their relationship. Going by what her family and friends have stated in the media and on social networking sites, I have seen lots of comments about her anger/temper and not that much about Adam. Obviously I don't know but it seems to me this could be the case.
I don't know many men that would move their seriously ill (albeit in remission) child to a foreign country when there own has some of the best free medical facilities in the world. Remember he moved to America, she didn't move to Australia, must be a reason for that.

She lived with her father and his mom, Karen Baker in AU.

Everyone is seeming to state that bio mom has been totally uninvolved. There was one report that she was looking for Zhara for 5 years but that appears unrealistic as Zhara's cancer story was very public in AU.

Now that's a good question Patty. The only report I can remember about hits on "blood" (specific word) came from the elderly man that lived near where they searched the wood chipper and pile.

I asked the same question.It has phone records and computer stuff.They don't want that out to the public.
