NeJame, TES Join Search for Haleigh

What part of LE's words, "We want to talk to Misty Croslin-Cummings" is so difficult to understand?! This ongoing desire, determination & attempt by some to completely ignore this repeated, ( and repeated and repeated . . . ) straight-forward statement made by LE, IMO seems very suspicous to me - I'm not accusing anyone here of anything but IMO, it would be extremely troubling to learn that this continuous push by some to altogether by-pass LE's words regarding Misty could possibly be motivated and driven by closer ties to case players than has been disclosed . . . JMO

No one is ignoring that statement...it would be impossible to, it's posted here so many times a day!

The bottom line is she is not talking....it is what it is....how does re-posting that statement help?

And if you think it looks suspicious, and LE have said it looks suspicious, now that she has a lawyer, you can't expect her to talk, and we better hope LE have some other way of solving this.

Did you ever think they are waiting until Misty is 18? Maybe then, they will charge her without having her sit in comfy juvenile hall, maybe they want to shock her with big girl jail? Maybe whatever they will bring at her they want her to be tried in adult court? I mean I really dont even know how old you have to be to go to jail there, but maybe they have to wait a bit to really scare her, she cant hide because of her age for too much longer.

I would think her age when/if she is charged would be irrelevant; the age she was when/if she committed the crime would be.

I think reposting the statement helps because what are we supposed to do just stop talking about it and accept it? Its unacceptable! There is a reason she isn't talking and the cops even said they need her to tell them what she knows, because they said they think she does know! Its pretty important to figure how who she is scared of, who she is protecting- because she is protecting someone or herself, its just those two things in my opinion.

I think if they had enough on Misty to charge her, they would have done it by now...or at least I hope so. It doesn't seem to me they are giving her any breaks due to her age.

Teresa and Mark will be on the Today show in the morning. She must be exhausted from the last week or so.

TN stands behind Misty....that is all you need to know and that says it all. Ron, AS and TN are standing with her....so you have it folks!

Exactly how is Nejame helping with search? If he wants to help, convince your client to get her DIL to talk.

Yes - I'm one of those people. I wasn't invited to the presser, I wonder if Haleigh's mother was. Was it open to the public or just the press ?

BTW - at 35 sec into the video, MN describes how a child advocate asked that TN contact him. Any one know who this child advocate is ?

Please God let it not be GA/CA/DM.

I watched the whole video and I see the same standoffish attitude in Teresa that I saw in the vigil video. She was asked by the interviewer if she thought Misty was telling the truth, after a brief uncomfortable silence, she answers, yes, she does believe she is telling the truth. Goes on to add, she hopes she is telling the truth. Hoping and believing are 2 different things. What I "hope" is that Teresa finds some peace for her heart. And for Misty to do WHATEVER is asked of her to clear her name. If she needs to go through the events of that night again then so be it. That would be very telling in my opinion because after 6 months the truth should not change and the details should be burned in her memory forever. Inconsistencies in her story now would be truly truly heartbreaking because the truth never changes.

There is always a brief uncomfortable silence before the person asked the question can actually hear the question in their headphone and respond to it. It's unsettling to us listeners, but it happens with everone.

You are correct. There is a delay when doing a remote. It can also be distorted or difficult to hear, too. It is why we often hear people ask to repeat the questions.

okay, I understand that but MN didn't seem to have a problem with timing when he was answering the questions. And the uncomfortable silence from TN only came after that question. All other questions were answered at about the same timing. Personally I think she was looking for the best way to answer the question. Then she answered it with yes, she does believe she is telling the truth, and then adds her real answer in my opinion which was....I hope she is telling the truth. 2 answers to the same question, both with different meanings. My opinion is there is some doubt there that's all. If there wasn't she wouldn't have used the word hope.

She goes on to answer another of the interviewers questions with a reference to hope. Saying "without faith and hope we have nothing to cling to". Unfortunately, I agree with her.

I found this response from the sheriff's office to odd. They welcome anyone that wants to search for Haleigh, but they make it sound like it's to late and it would not do any good to come and search now, it would of been better if they searched earlier on. Well, earlier on they told everyone not to search it was to dangerous... My questions are why didn't they continue to search? Why didn't the family or LE call on TES to come back? What is LE doing and what do they know? I also find it odd that they also say that Tim has not contacted the sheriff's office for assistance. As for Ron or anyone else in the family getting Misty to talk, well I doubt they will be able to. What if Ron doesn't want her to for what ever reason? I just find the timing of all of this to be very odd as well as the sheriff's reply to TES coming back to search. JMO

The sheriff's office welcomes the search team, but said the timing may have been better when she originally vanished.
"That was actually the better time of the year because that's when all the underbrush was down," Greenwood said.

Greenwood said the group has not asked for the sheriff's office's assistance, so he does not know which specific areas will be searched.

EquuSearch founder Tim Miller was unavailable for comment Tuesday.

"We really don't know what they're going to be able to do," Greenwood said. http://www.palatkadailynews.com/articles/2009/08/19/news/news01.txt
