Police have named the 30-year-old woman slain in Upper Hutt as Lois Rita Tolley...
There have been no arrests made overnight after Saturday's discovery of Tolley's body at her home in Upper Hutt, after neighbours heard and saw screaming, a bang, then men sprinting away.
However police revealed on Sunday afternoon they had "fresh evidence" and were looking for a firearm and a knife, and four men seen heading down a street just around the corner from Tolley's Ward St flat.

Police have still made no arrests after the killing of Lois Tolley, but say a white ute and several other "items of interest" have been identified.
Tolley, of Wallaceville, Upper Hutt, was killed minutes before midnight on December 9, stabbed and shot to death.
"The ute was parked in Ward St early on the morning on December 9, 2016, and was seen leaving the area just before midnight that same day, as well as driving past the scene around the time the killing was occurring," Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Barnett said.

The beanie and single shoe were both found outside the scene and Police are keen to identify an owner or the person who was wearing it in that area around December 9th.
A single jandal was also found within the crime scene. Police would like to speak to anyone who recognises the ute or any of the clothing items...
Police believe it is also possible that one or more women may be involved, and that more than the four people sighted outside Lois flat that night know what has happened and who is responsible for her death.
