Well, I know one thing... the media caught everything on video when WN decided to drop and hit the deck. If WN was prostrating, he forgot to make the sign of the cross before going down....
I knew a young schizophrenic man many years ago who was on meds that were helping a lot. But he said before when he was not on meds or meds that were not working so well for him, he would have episodes where he would suddenly, without warning, see someone and become violent. He said something inside his head told him to harm this person, and he would run over and start beating away at this innocent person.
My boss also knew a guy who developed schizophrenia in his early 20's while he was already married. His wife had to keep an eye on him. One night, he was sitting watching TV peacefully and she thought it would be ok to run to the store down the street and be back in 20 minutes. She told him to stay right there and watch TV until she got back. She was a wreck being gone but was calmed down when she came back and found him there watching TV so calmly. In a few moments, cop cars were racing into their driveway and pounding on her door. The cops pointed to her husband on the couch and said a man was just beat up by him 10 minutes ago when he just walked past the house. So sometimes these things can happen -- and the person can look normal (or a bit catatonic) right afterwards.
I see WN as being very unstable in that interview -- nervous, guilty, and on the verge of beating the interviewer to death at times -- but holding back. He looked on the verge of exploding.
