I wonder why, when she was at the defense's office and told the story of having caused Lizzie's death, they didn't alert LE, or did they and LE only wanted Seth charged? I'm a bit confused on this area and why she wasn't being held in Lizzie's death as well (and not just later charged with lying).

That is such a good question...

WHY didn't LE accept her confession of killing Lizzi?!?

:dunno:

Barth: you were fully aware that your words couldn't be used to charge you but other evidence could be... immunity doesn't mean you can't be charged, it means they can't use your words... but they could use other evidence... Kat... says she didn't understand that...

I only have a hour to watch....

What do you guys think about this? I am a little confused. I would think they would be able to follow a transcript while she is reading it.

Yes...

And it seems the judge and lawyers would have made a decision regarding this BEFORE the trial started... JMO...

Kat says people at work were reading '50 Shades of Gray'... Atty Barth says they talked about BDSM...and refers to a discussion... and that Kat said ' I live that every day' she says... someone asked if I'd read it.. and I said I hadn't yet... Barth: you disclosed to your coworkers that you engaged in BDSM every day... Kat: I didn't say it outright...

Kat seems like one of those creepy people who talk cryptically (loads of inferences... But no straight out facts...)...And you really couldn't care less about what they really mean...

But they are scary, too, so you kind of feel like you have to listen...

So here you are! I've been following this case, and thought I was the only one! I found today's testimony to be a fascinating train wreck. The State sure isn't fighting for her testimony -- not even objecting when the defense asks if she cries without tears (twice). If Juan did that in the Arias trial, Nurmi would have been all over it. For that reason, I am particularly enjoying this superb cross.

I know Seth confessed, but I can't buy much of any of Kat's story. I believe she was the Dom and he was the submissive, and went to jail for her. She most certainly seemed to be the one steering the ship (so to speak).

I am also so angry with the plea deal. I have no idea why they let her sign it before she went in to answer additional questions -- that just doesn't make much sense. I can most certainly say that I believe she was involved in the murder, even to the point that she may have killed Lizzi while he was in the bathroom. The whole "I was trying to cover myself up" testimony was absurd! That girl just vomits lies doesn't she.

In short, I do believe the defense is making headway in providing reasonable doubt. I sure would like to hear the real truth about what happened that night. Oh, and to see that sweet plea deal yanked out from under her. But it's my understanding that can't happen.....is that correct?

Thanks, and I'll see ya tomorrow.

MOO

What exactly did he confess to, does anyone know? Just him, as in Kat's version? Or closer to what Kat told his defense team, breathing play that went all wrong, but with both he and Kat?

so i'm watching the last section from today's testimony on the WAT archive.......

i've come to a decision.......if i was mommy kat or daddy kat i would change my name and move before this psychopathic murdering daughter got out of jail..........:scared:

omg she is some piece of work.......how in the hell did she get this deal????:banghead:

and her whispery voice and questioning look are driving me crazy:facepalm:

She's a dazzling actress!! (smile) I hope the jury retains that tiny data bit.

What difference will it make whether or not the jury buys Kat's testimony?

On a random note, anyone remember the show "You Can't do that on Television"?
And the character Barth?
He ran the grubby, nasty diner.
(DA Barth....finally hit me today, knew his name was from some show or other :giggle:).

Mods, not making fun of player in the case, just has the same name and made me laugh!

Hysterical... he was actually a talented Canadian actor - all the roles he played. What a show... the good ole days.

I was going to comment that DEF counsel is holding up fairly well. He needs to tighten up, though, this is one of those cases - those rare cases, where the attorney can make the difference if she plans well , and can be creative.

How much more of this do you think we have?

Luv ya,
G

Good questions..... I have been searching around but haven't come up with anything specific. I will look more later when I'm not on my phone.

Hopefully it won't matter at all. If anything, maybe it might make a difference between 1st and 2nd degree? Although now that I think about it, it shouldn't...... It wouldn't matter to me. They should both be getting 1st degree IMO.

In my view, if they think she's lying about everything that happened, maybe she killed Lizzie and the story she gave to his defense team is the truth and Seth didn't kill Lizzie (or at least not premeditated) and only helped dispose of her, giving him 2nd degree at worst.

Ok, that makes good sense. Thank you.

Concerning Kat, according to her plea agreement, nothing she says at this trial can be used against her. Based on new evidence, can she at some point be charged with murder?

Yeah, I agree. I just don't see the point in gathering so much testimony from her. I'm missing something for sure.
