That information may be outdated.
From what I understand, the age of consent is 16-18 in Mexico, depending on the state, and there are no close-in-age exemptions like there are in the US. Imo

Says "Updated as of December 2018" . Unless federal laws have changed since then. I tend to think Wikipedia would update that of so. According to the link many states still have 12yrs old as age of consent. And aside from if laws change recently or not, seems that becoming a young wife or mother is embedded in their culture regardless. Might take decades or centuries to counteract that. At one time child brides were legal here in the US as well. We have since then evolved and understand young girls should have better opportunities appointed to them.

Here are some facts about teen marriage in Mexico. But it's very important to note informal unions now outnumber formal marriages in Mexico.

I was pregnant at 14 & 18.

Thanks so much for sharing that info. To understand other people's culture is to understand cases like these so much better.

Police have conducted several searches of the park. Helicopters buzzed overhead and used infrared technology as they methodically crisscrossed the landscape.

Back at the park, the only obvious sign of the ongoing search, apart from TV trucks, is a tribute of photos, candles, balloons and messages urging Dulce’s return set up along a baseball field backstop near the playground where she was last seen.

The playground also sits next to Alden Field, which hosts the annual Bridgeton Invitational baseball tournament, and near the All Sports Museum of Southern New Jersey. This portion of the park backs up to Bridgeton High School and West Avenue School.

“It’s a heavily wooded area throughout the whole park, which makes it kind of difficult, but I’m proud of the work that has been done thus far,” Kelly said of law enforcement’s efforts.

"I feel it in my bones and I pray every day concerning this,” he said. “I’m going to stay positive. She’s one of ours and we’re going to find her.”

They were the only kids at the playground at the time, police previously noted. The playground is still being built, though no work was being done at the time.

A few dozen people were playing basketball on courts next to the playground. All were interviewed by police.

Having a hard time seeing the link to fbi. Not challenging you. Just want to confirm that she went home after school? Changed and then went to park?
Could this be where the altered clothing description of a pink long sleeve to yellow short sleeve comes in? How far is family home from ice cream shop? How far is park from family home?

Pedophilic D/O is DSM 5 code 302.2 and pedophelia was DSM IV- TR code 302.2
And in the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems 10th Revision (ICD 10) it's classified as F65.4 Paedophilia. So the diagnosis is not taken out.

Does anyone have a link to just the convenience store video? I was looking on another platform and someone said the person by the door was watching her. I also read someone saw a red vehicle in the parking lot. I'm sure police already have surveillance from outside that store.

Also, in regards to the infrared tech being used, that's not going to work if the subject is not giving off a heat signature. How much of this park has been combed by foot?

Does anyone remember the case of Gabby Doolin? That one haunts me. She disappeared at a football game and was found literally less than an hour later nearby in the woods by the football field after having been assaulted and strangled.

We can't be discussing other people in the store video as they have not been named either suspects or persons of interest. Seeing red cars moving by is a frequent occurrence anywhere. It's extremely unlikely to mean anything, as the store is four minutes of driving from the park.

Respectfully snipped for focus. Sadly, this is exactly where I would put my focus for the search, which bodes an ominous outcome. They need the dogs tracking in there, if not already. (ETA: I do see a photo of a bloodhound in the attached article. That's exactly what they need more of...)

Why on earth would anyone think it's a good idea to build a kids park with sneaky hidey hole woods surrounding it?

Amateur opinion and speculation

Probably because abductions are very rare and there are lots of parks with wooded areas?

Logically and statistically you are right. However, it sadly seems we must think differently given the trends we keep seeing.

*Another opportunity to expand awareness via posters:

Last year the sanctioned H2O International event was moved to Atlantic City, New Jersey but drivers returned to Ocean City for the tradition.

"Here is the car scene. In Atlantic City, it's just the convention center and everything is more formal. But here, people are just revving it, pumping it, it's amazing," said Carranza.

Little House of Pancakes, Pizza and Ribs owner Raymond Daugherty told WBOC that he wishes he had more employees to keep up with the amount of people coming in.

"If we had the staff to back up the volume of business walking in the door, we could do a lot more business. We're all doing the best that we can do, we're running around, and we're doing three jobs instead of one," said Daugherty.

Special event zones will be active through Sunday, September 29th.

<modsnip: quoted post was removed>
Dulce's mother says about her daughter, "She's the one who runs in the house," "She's usually running around in the house," and "she's the only one who makes noise." (more than the other kids)

When she said she didn't know why she ran like that, I'm thinking when the man waved her over she ran to him, since she seems to be full of energy and always running.

IMO
I think she meant ran to a stranger. Not the act of running itself. So she doesn't understand why she ran to a stranger.

Santos, a retired Bridgeton police officer who was the city's first Latino cop when he joined the force in the early 1990s, said Dulce's family on both her mother's and father's sides have received support from the area's largely Catholic immigrant community.

"We're giving moral support and prayer, having vigils and praying the rosary," Santos said. "They know the doors of the church are open to them."

“NEW JERSEY – It's a video that's heartbreaking: Dulce Maria Alavez singing, "Let it go" from the movie "Frozen," long before she disappeared.”
Dulce Maria Alavez's face is all over Amber Alert posters, but still, she's nowhere to be found. The FBI has also recently placed Dulce on its most-wanted missing persons list.
