I think they are talking about the Kamille "Cupcake" Mckinney case.
Oh, well in that case they were lucky. They had an eleven year old who witnessed the abduction and gave a detailed description of the vehicle.
They also had numerous people who were there and about 400 tips in the first few days.
I guess I don't know what context it's being compared but LE and the community worked very hard to get the word out and used the media to the fullest extent.
I don't see the community rallying around Dulce and supporting the family as much in this case. It's very sad.

I don't want to discuss this over and over again. For those who think it's irrelevant, you don't have to agree with those who think it might be relevant. Since we really have no clue what happened to the child, I personally don't think we know what is relevant or what is not.
There are still multiple possibilities:
1) child was randomly abducted by a stranger
2) child was abducted but it was planned (could be by somebody known to the child or somebody who observed the child previously but is not known to the child)
3) child met with unfortunate accident but for whatever reason body hasn't been found
There are probably more scenarios. All still on the table.
That's not what I was referring to.
I was talking about the person who stated they saw her in the car.
Was she a witness who came forward recently or just someone who mentioned it in an interview?
I did not see the article.
If you can let me know where it's posted I will look for it.

Respectfully, while I acknowledge that it’s “early” in terms of solving a mystery, it is decidedly not early statistically in bringing Dulce home unharmed and well. I’m not attempting to speak for everyone but the reason I’m here (and the reason I’m so frustrated) is to help think of ways to get these babies (OUR kids, our treasures, our future, our innocents) home safe and sound and away from these godawful humans who keep taking them away from their loved ones and harming them. So while it’s reasonable to say that patience is a virtue and we should wait on LE to gather their bread crumbs, statistically that doesn’t work with the outcome we all desire. I’m sick of these little kids being taken and hurt and chucked away like garbage. I want to see urgency in this case and I don’t. LE has asked for help. And then gone quiet. And no arrests have been made. And Dulce is not found. That tells me no “help” has come forward, therefore no Dulce and no further pressers.

Hey, i understand your anger and thanks for the respectful response. You not "seeing urgency" doesn't mean it isn't happening though which was my main post to "jen", us not being updated by LE is usually a good thing. I understand the frustration but it's usually protecting convictions, and maintaining evidence that results in us not knowing right away. If we were updated right away in cases like this then the perp would be too which could result in destruction of evidence including the body, suicide of the suspect, etc. Us being updated is less important than the perp being brought to justice surely we can agree there?

Is there a national missing children’s group that could get involved and help the family?
That's a good question. There was an article early on with a statement from a spokesperson from an organization like that who said they had reached out to the family but I can't remember the name of it. It's probably in the media thread.
Crimestoppers was involved in Cupcakes case and did an excellent job. I wish someone had advised the family early on to get some kind of help from an organization like that.
It's too bad the family did not reach out for help. I imagine they knew little about what resources they had.

I don’t see a comment like “I saw the children out playing on the playground and the mother was in the car” as a derogatory statement. JMO
I would take it as a factual observation. Facts are helpful. The trash talk on FB or wherever it is - a hindrance to finding Dulce and not helping the family in their search efforts.

MOO
Can someone please tell me the source for who made that statement or which article is being referred to?
I can't find it. Thanks in advance!

I've just looked through (searching for the word playground) pretty much every article and i can't find it either, i googled it and this thread is the only thing that comes up. I'm guessing it's in a video on youtube, think we should be told who said it. Also if you put words inside quotation marks it really should be a direct quote IMO, to be fair it might be.

Or LE doesn't know anything which I am pretty sure is the case here.

My reply post came right after post #881.
I was using that as an example. I used quote marks incorrectly. Too late for me to edit- will alert a mod to delete to avoid further confusion. I’m sorry.

Sorry for harping on the quotation marks that was probably unfair since no one else took them seriously. I'd edit that post but the time has elapsed, was just me being dumb everyone.

It was in a video. I remember seeing it. All I remember is she saw this a week or two before the abduction. I also remember whomever this woman was mentioned being a business owner which gave me the impression she was promoting for herself. Moo

I just can’t get over that picture of Dulce’s mother with her head and face completely covered with a hoodie - bowed down.

I think it's terrible that she feels she has to do that. This woman should have all kinds of support surrounding her at the worst time of her life. As should her mom and other family members.

I don't know. I know that this isn't about me and I am not trying to make it about me but I feel at times like I am being attacked as a mother. According to so much that I have read here and on social media, I am a good for nothing crap parent. I have sat in my car while my kids played in the park. Granted I could actually see them but still. I have let my kids ride their bikes around the neighborhood while I was inside cleaning the house or whatnot. I have let my kids walk down to the corner store to get a bag of chips or a piece of candy. I have let my kids go to the bathroom by themselves at a restaurant or at the movies. It is amazing, I guess, that none of my kids were ever abducted. Or that my sisters and I never were. I am now thinking to buy one of those kids leashes for my 5 year old or some handcuffs or something.

I agree that I don't see how Noema being in the car makes her a bad parent, a negligent parent. I bet half the people on these threads rode your bikes around town and didn't go home until the street lights came on. Abductions, murders, crime, none of that has changed. We hear about it more because of the internet. Doesn't mean it never existed.

I guess I am just getting really tired of people blaming this on Noema, even if they are aren't saying it directly.

It was most definitely not a statement meant to help solve this case. MOO
See the article below.
Edited to add - see the article attached in the post by jjenny

Nadal, it's discussed in the article below.

I think she is responding to criticism on social media. Here is an article where a woman says saw her sitting in a car on a prior occasion, while children were playing.
"Lula Suggs said that when news of the disappearance broke on TV, she instantly recognized Dulce as the child she saw at the playground three days earlier, chasing around with her younger brother while their mother watched from her car."
In South Jersey, a massive search — and a wave of worry — for missing 5-year-old girl
BBM With all due respect, you even stated that "she is responding to criticism on social media". It was not a statement made to help find Dulce.

Seems some folks have the wrong room ... this is not the perfect parenting discussion group. That would be down the hall and out the back door.

Leave Noema alone !!
