What is the big draw for people to locate there? Agriculture work?

Yes, agriculture and food-processing work for the Hispanic immigrant population. The American-born population is primarily there because their families have been there for generations and they still have the old family farm or a big colonial-era house. Some even have a degree of affluence, and I'm sure some simply enjoy rural living. But there's not a lot of relocation there from within the American mainstream - kids are mostly looking to get out. As far as I can tell there's only one institution of higher education nearby, a community college in Vineland. Then there are people who work the Delaware Bay and waterways, fishing and crabbing and oystering.

I'm wondering if the little guy's ice cream being knocked to the ground was not on purpose. During the snatch and grab it accidentally got knocked out of his hand???

I’m surprised a three year old child could describe Dulce being taken and how the doors opened on the red van/suv.
Young kids know cars. We had a little boy watch a car pulling up to our school who asked how they got Madeas car!

There is something very wrong with this investigation.

Some kids know cars, but a 3 year old nonverbal kid will have no speech and at that age, be unable to draw a sliding door van. IMHO. Could the van description have come from someone else, I wonder.

I’m sorry I did not know he was nonverbal! Is he Autistic? Ether way, if he is nonverbal, the description was not attained legally. He was coached.

Were there other cars parked in the same lot/area as Dulce’s mom?

Or were the basketball players/watchers parked somewhere else?

Yes, the witness who provided the description for the sketch was someone who was not interviewed originally, but came forward about two months after Dulce had been abducted.

The man in the sketch could be a witness or he could be a POI.

That he has not come forward yet suggests he may be involved or he may know something but does not want to get involved.

Imo

I'm beginning to wonder if this person even exists.

The person came forward two months later. Their memory could be a little different, too, from two months before. It also seemed strange to me that two months later, a person came forward with this information- by then, a lot of time has passed, and if he was involved in her disappearance, he could be anywhere now. The fact that no one has called LE to tell them that they recognize him is all telling to me. I would think that if he was a local, someone would have made a call.

It's just baffling.

I thought the witness came forward just short of a month of Dulce going missing. I wonder why the delay? Fear of LE? The accuracy of the description might be questionable with weeks in between.

Authorities released a sketch on Tuesday of a man they believe may have information on 5-year-old Dulce Maria Alavez, whose disappearance nearly a month ago from a New Jersey park has left few answers.

This is what I am talking about in terms of the media, especially in this case, messing facts up.

One month later, two months later- either way, that's a big difference in terms of memory recall.

The saddest part about it is that apparently, no one knows who the person in the sketch is.

I think the poster just meant a normal 3-year-old who doesn't have the language aptitude to describe anything really.

Yeah. I wish someone with clout could step in and get all the facts clarified while also keeping the locals and media involved. At the very least there should be an up to date press conference, with a lengthy Q&A at the end.

Many 3 year olds will talk your ear off. As a matter of fact many two year olds will also.

Maybe, but they won't make a lot of sense. There's no way a 3-year-old is an accurate reporter. Far from it. No court would ever consider what a child that age said.

No, I am not saying they are. But my Grandson identified cars, trucks and especially tractors at 2. And 2 year olds I have taught, look for mamas red car and daddy’s blue truck

Agree. This case has been hard to follow from the get go.

From differences in media's reports, to confused statements as to who witnessed Dulce allegedly getting in a red van, to the sketch of a man that was given either one month or two months after the fact, even differences in terms of what happened when Dulce's Mom got out of her car with her little sister. Suddenly, her brother was called to bring his dog to help search for Dulce first- he used to go to the park before, but was told that the dog intimidated people there, so he didn't go anymore.

Then, her and her brother searched for what, at least 30 minutes? By the time she called the brother, he arrived with the dog, they searched, she allegedly asked people if they saw anything, then after 45 minutes of no hide nor hair of Dulce, she calls 911.

It's hard to sort it all out, it's hard to know fact from fiction or part truth. LE hasn't done a press conference in God knows how long, hasn't made any statements. FBI is involved, but they, too, haven't been heard from.

Dulce's Mom mentioned in an interview that LE thought she was lying.

At this point, it's hard to really discuss anything on this case further, there's no new information being given, no new tips to discuss. We're just regurgitating the same facts or disputing facts over and over again.

Meanwhile, an adorable little girl is still missing, it's like she vanished into thin air.

I know this isn't the first case where a child has disappeared like this with no leads. There's a couple of cases to which have never been solved, and one of those cases, that darling austistic boy Joseph, had some evidence and good tips, both parents are in jail, but little Joseph still hasn't been found.

I hear you. I have two cases that haunt me to this day, one from the 80's and the other the 90's. To this day, it breaks my heart. Both kids, just like Dulce, vanished without anyone seeing a thing.

I worry the van part was coached, too, I'm sure from good intentions, but likely just a red herring. Dulce's mom said the little one isn't talking yet IIRC, that is straight from her. Maybe the van description is from someone else? Again I have to apologize because I am more mixed up each day, even though I'm trying to follow it and go back and reread the early stuff.

Mom says he's not talking yet. I hope he will be able to grow and progress despite the horror of Dulce's abduction.
