Wow hard to believe five years has passed already...

It really is.
I believe Dulce was abducted by a stranger. Likely a male acting alone. I wonder what else he's been doing for the past 5 years and truly hope this case will be solved.

The anniversary is coming up soon , with so many solved cases recently im really hoping and praying this one is one of them. I was pregnant with my first when she went missing and it was around my birthday so this case hit me real hard. She went missing around the same time as Alicia Navarro so when that one was solved I felt real hopeful for Dulce. I’m about to have a 5 year old soon, I couldn’t imagine life without them. Dulce wherever you are, you’ve never been forgotten

A representative for a non-profit investigative group that has been working on the case for the past year, says that they have a working theory about what happened to Dulce. He says it is definitely not a cold case, and they have a definite direction they are moving in.

NCMEC updates age-progression images every two years for missing children under 18. These images have helped law enforcement bring missing children home, and officials are hopeful that this latest effort will generate new leads.

Angeline Hartmann, director of communications at NCMEC, emphasized that while the image may not be an exact match, it is intended to spark recognition. “We’re asking everyone to take a look and see if there’s something familiar about this face,” she said.

A 11 year old girl from New Jersey met a man on line from a gaming site and he lured her to go with him where he had her do sexual acts to him last September. That man’s picture and the sketch of Dulce’s kidnapper have a lot of resemblances.

They've found a few bodies in the South Jersey woods lately. Guess we'll have to wait on this one.

In the meantime, I remember a theory after the incident that her father kidnapped her to Mexico. Is he still a POI?

I believe the dad was ruled out as a suspect pretty early.

Has anyone questioned the mother since Dulce went missing? Did anyone notice anyone following them from the convenient store they went to before they went to the park? Also, it says in a previous post that she was with her little brother in the park, but I have seen multiple pictures where there is no little boy only her and 2 other girls? something definitely doesn't add up also there is a composite sketch of a so-called man that was seen at the park as well. Why after almost a month did someone come forward with a susceptible man and a so-called red van? Also, in the interview with the mom there was no emotion whatsoever, in any of the interviews actually I watched the one with Dr. Phil and she is very short with her answers, not blaming her or anything and everyone deals with grief differently but it just doesn't make sense, also she said that her son couldn't talk because of his age, but she continued to ask him where is your sister and he was able to cry?

I can't answer all of your questions, but Dulce was playing near her brother and of course he would have been asked where Dulce was. He was able to point in the direction she was taken. Police definitely questioned her mother more than once.

Personally I think she has has a trauma and depression. There are different reasons people can seem to be without emotion, from various diagnoses to medications they take. But I think she should not blame herself. The predator is to blame.

It does seem like the investigation took a long time before there was a sketch, etc. But I think LE did their best. These cases can have little or no real evidence, unfortunately.

I hope it will be solved. Dulce deserved to live her life, and her family has suffered so much.

Thinking of Dulce….will this case ever be solved?

I would think that it should have been solvable at the beginning, iffy now. Start with the vehicle (ok NJ DMV, time to make yourselves useful). Rex Huermann was caught because there weren't many green Avalanches in Massapequa Park. In this case, it was a red van w/ sliding doors. Obviously, the suspect could've come from anywhere, but odds are he was fairly local. How many red vans are registered in Bridgeton? Or in Cumberland and Salem Counties? Hardly anybody lives down there, so it couldn't possibly be very many. (I did a site visit at the high school next to that park about 15 years ago... It's way out there.) There are no interstates in Cumberland County, so almost all traffic you see is local... How many do cops see while patrolling the few main roads?
