One of the tattoos looks like a horseshoe with a horse head ( 1948) I cant make out what the lettering says. I wonder if there were military units that used this as an insignia?

I have attached a photo of a souvenir glass from the 1948 Kentucky Derby showing the logo for at least that year. Am I the only one that sees the same image in the tattoo? I wonder if Jack Muldoon had any connection to horse racing. Or if there is another missing person with that connection.

The tattoo really does resemble the Kentucky Derby logo. Yes, as a matter of fact, here is a missing person of that era: Jockey Albert Snider who trained 1948 Triple Crown Winner Citation. He went missing on a fishing trip along with two others.

I found this image of a vintage "Navy Eagle" tattoo. I believe this one was done by Sailor Jerry or at least in that style. It seems to resemble the eagle tattoo that the UID has. Particularly the shield and the open beak on the eagle. Although Jack Muldoon was Army so this may be a sign that there is not a link.

VirginiaG,
Have you done your DNA on Ancestry or 23andMe? If Jack walked off and started a new life, if he had children or grandchildren, one or more of them may have done their DNA and you'd come up as a match.

Also, if you have or plan on doing your DNA, upload it to GEDMatch.

I found this on Newspapers.com
I'm unsure if it's the right guy.
It was from The Record Thursday Sept 18 1952
