HIGHLAND PARK, N.J. — The grandmother of a missing 2-year-old New Jersey boy, whose alleged kidnapping at the hands of his father led to an Amber Alert Friday, says her missing grandson — along with his mother and father — could be as far away as Georgia.

Sebastian Rios, 2, was last seen on Thursday, according to New Jersey State Police. He was in Rahway, New Jersey, where he is from, Highland Park Police said.

Noting:

• Yasemin’s mother spoke to PIX11 News Friday evening. She said Yasemin and Tyler Rios have known one another since she was in high school, but that they haven’t been a couple since shortly after their son was born.
• Yasemin has been assaulted multiple times by Tyler Rios and has a restraining order against him.
• “She was actually in the process of moving,”KU said. “We normally speak every day but I didn’t speak with her yesterday because she was busy packing and I didn’t want to bother. Unfortunately, we’re not positive over when he actually took them because none of us spoke with her yesterday.”
• KU said she fears Tyler Rios may have gotten as much as a 24-hour head start, noting that her grandson Sebastian was not in daycare Thursday.
• KU also said she would consider Tyler to be dangerous, and that when he drinks, he is violent. She believes he may use his son as a shield.

They must believe or have evidence that hes traveling westward quite far, as I just received an Amber alert 10 minutes ago and I'm nowhere near New Jersey, but a straight shot West. Same here. I got an Amber Alert three hours ago at 3am-ish (I was asleep and my phone was on silent so I just saw it) and I’m in Ohio. I wonder what LE knows.

No other details were given, including the whereabouts of Sebastian's mother, 24-year-old Yasemin Uyar, who police were also looking for.
Uyar's sister, Marissa Uyar, says they are still searching for her.

An Amber Alert was issued in Ohio for a toddler who authorities said was kidnapped from New Jersey on Thursday.

Early Saturday morning, the Amber Alert for the two-year-old boy was canceled. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the suspect, Tyler Rios, 27, who is the child’s father, was arrested in Tennessee. The child is safe.

Authorities were looking for the toddler after he was last seen around 6 p.m. Thursday. They said Rios made comments to family members that he killed the child’s mother and she was in the trunk of the vehicle. The highway patrol said the mother’s whereabouts remain unknown.

Rahway boy found in Tennessee; mother remains missing
Tyler Rios remains in custody in Tennessee pending extradition back to New Jersey and the filing of criminal charges in Superior Court.

“While we are relieved that Sebastian Rios has been found safe and that Tyler Rios is in custody, we are still urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of Yasmine Uyar to come forward and tell us what they know, even anonymously,” Ruotolo said in a statement.
