Missing military vet suffering from PTSD missing for 3 days

The family of a missing military veteran suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder has been desperately searching for him in North Jersey since late last week.



Thomas Podschelne, 59, left his Waldwick home on Friday and failed to show up to his job the next day at the Stop & Shop on Broad Street in Clifton.

Podschelne, who served in the Iraq War over 10 years ago, was last seen walking about 8 a.m. Friday, his daughter said.

He was wearing all black clothes with tan military boots and a hat, his daughter said.

Waldwick resident and Iraq war vet found after three days missing

Waldwick resident and Iraq War veteran Thomas Podschelne, who had been missing for three days, was found in Orange County, N.Y. on Monday afternoon more than 30 miles away from where he was last seen.

Podschelne, 59, was found around 3 p.m. Monday, Chelsea Podschelne, his daughter, said. On Friday, Podschelne took off on foot on a long trek from Clifton to Monroe, N.Y., where he was found tired, but unharmed, she said.

wow, I can't even imagine all that I'd think about for 3 days of solitary walking... Hoping his time away gave him the break he needed and he can be reminded of how much he is loved now...
