AMBER ALERT:

The Albuquerque Police Department is asking for your help in locating Elijah Covington and Javon Rosales. Elijah and Javon were last seen February 09, 2021 at approximately 11:21 a.m., at 5000 Menaul Blvd NE #B.

Elijah and Javon are in CYFD custody. Their mother, Clorisa Renee Covington took the boys from their dental appointment without permission or authority to do so. Clorisa was last seen driving a small grey SUV style vehicle with a temporary tag. There are concerns for Javon and Elijah’s safety due to them being removed from Clorisa’s custody by CYFD.

Javon was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, red/black/gray shoes (Shaq Brand). Elijah was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants with a red Adidas stripe, red/black/gray shoes (Nike brand). Clorisa was last seen wearing a dark blue windbreaker, black pants, red and black Jordan shoes and is reported to be approximately five months pregnant.

Javon and Elijah have been entered into NCIC. If anyone has seen or has any information on the whereabouts of Javon, Elijah or Clorisa please notify the Albuquerque Police Department.

Clorisa was driving a grey SUV, however, that vehicle has been located abandoned. It is unknown what vehicle they are currently traveling in or where they are headed.​

I know, right?! SMH, SMH...

I found it interesting that law enforcement thought it worthwhile to mention she is “KNOWN TO ASSOCIATE WITH BOYFRIEND FABIAN GONZALES” in the Amber Alert emergency notification. It makes me think that either they don’t know where he is and think he could be involved or become involved, or it was included to underscore the danger the mother presents—because his name is infamous in the area, and if you’re willing to associate with him, it reflects very badly on the kind of person you are. Just speculation, MOO, etc.

Gonzales's attorney says he’s no longer dating the mother of the missing boys and has no idea where she or her sons are now. He added, that Gonzales wears an ankle monitor and authorities know where he is at all times.

KOAT reached out to police about why Gonzales's name was mentioned in the Amber Alert and detectives said they have a reason for including his name but they aren’t sharing the reason at this time.

Huh, strange! I thought I recalled that he was put on an ankle monitor—good to know that hasn’t changed (I can only keep up loosely with that case or it starts messing with me). Hopefully, whatever the reason is, it leads to these kids being found safely soon.

What kind of crazy does that judge have to be to rule that this man, who is charged with murdering a 10-year-old little girl, should be allowed to be around children? The boyfriend violated his parole by being around children so the judge said OK I guess it’s OK for you to be around children. Judges need to be held accountable for making decisions that put other peoples lives in danger especially when those people are innocent children. When I say held accountable, I mean charged with a crime, prosecuted and thrown in prison.

In the news tonight they mentioned how Fabian Gonzales had still not gone to trial for being accused of dismembering little Victoria. I found myself wondering what kind of woman could actually date a monster like this. Just the visual is horrifying. How could anyone do that to a little child?

I haven’t been following this case, but can’t believe not everyone has been tried yet. WTH?! It sure seems like the Albuquerque Police Dept has dropped the ball.

KRQE (local news) update, Feb 10, 2021 8:23 am MST:

In June 2020, while Gonzales’ attorney said Gonzales was living with Covington and the two boys ... Judge Brown relaxed Gonzales’s conditions of release and said Gonzales had not been a threat to the boys and is innocent until proven guilty of the other charges.​

KRQE News 13 found a photo of Gonzales and Clorisa posted online in December under a profile of the name Clorisa Covington. But, Gonzales’ attorney said Gonzales and Covington broke up months ago and haven’t been living together since November.​

That gives us a time range on when the boys were put in CYFD custody... they would’ve been removed sometime between June and February, but for a reason besides Gonzales just living there, unless CYFD had a different take on it than the judge. Based on him being in the house between June and November, presumably dating during that time, and Clorisa being about five months pregnant, it sounds like there’s a good chance the baby is his (just amateur speculation).

I get the innocent until proven guilty line of thinking, but with certain charges and when kids are involved... their safety should come before his presumption of innocence IMHO. Idk whether I’m focusing on him too much when he’s clearly not with Clorisa and the kids at this moment, but he is in the Amber Alert for some reason, and whether he turns out to be involved or not, this is sure highlighting some problems with how things are done. MOO.

i saw in his lawyer's statement something about DYF became aware that she had her kids living w him when his conditions were relaxed and insisted she move out from living w him June 2020. sometimes after i guess they took custody. she did post a pic of her and FG in december. unless i misunderstood the statement.
