Does anyone have a theory on this? It looks like a watch or sunglasses to me, sitting on top of a dirty towel on top of a fresh dressing gown in the bathroom. Note that the woman's watch was found on her body, so it can't be her watch

Sunbathing goggles? People with sensitive eyes wear them in the shower.

No, I have experience of handling and using firearms and, like I say, there are many good reasons as to why she or whomever loaded it didn't fill it. You state Most people filling a clip for a specifi

Some bathrooms I've been in have infrared lights in the ceiling. I don't know if they were just a quick way to heat up the room or a way to get tanned or something. They went off by themselves so must have been on a timer.

And did the bathrooms have UV goggles included in the amenities?

C. Security Staff?
this is confusing ... regarding the security staff, were there two of them? security guy and head of security? Who heard the shot? why did he leave and why instead of calling police immediately waited 15 minutes? why did they open the room before police was there?
Somehow seems like a bigger conspiracy. On the other hand a staged suicide scene done by amateurs?

I think the reason given for the 15 minute delay was that he didn't want to use his radio to call the head of security as it would have been heard any everyone else in the hotel with a radio so he went to fetch him personally. Only the head of security had a master key which would open every room.

D. Friday or Saturday?
After the medical examination resulting undigested food, it seems more likely that what happened, happened on Friday. Giving enough time for a staged scene

E. Could this gun fire a silent shot?
What if the shot fired on Saturday was that on the pillow and the shot that killed her was fired on Friday?

No. In reality, no firearms are capable of firing silently. The word "silencer" is always used inappropriately; in the UK we use the term "moderator" which is the proper one to describe what one does.

In any event, there was no moderator present and the gun (barrel) was not adapted to take one.

What if she was an escort?
What if it wasnt her first time in the Hotel and the given name wouldnt actually be important to them or the woman who made the reservation through the phone, an escort agency s manager or owner maybe.. And even if it was Jennifer s first time in the Hotel, the escort Agency may have connections with this particulat hotel and used it often for dates. So... no questions asked.
Here once more, a booking of a second room in the same hotel would make a lot of sense.

I think that that is a reasonable possibility. Either way, she was allowed to check in without ID or placing a payment card on file. That is highly unusual, especially for a classy place like the Plaza. So, she either hit very lucky when checking in or she was allowed to check-in like that. The latter is by far the more likely explanation.

I've *never* stayed in a room that included goggles. I am familiar with the type of lights mentioned. I always assumed it was some sort of heater?

The Radisson Blu has a swimming pool currently. I'm not sure if it did when "Jennifer" stayed there?

It would also be interesting to know the on site dining options were during her stay? I believe the hotel was renovated?

I was thinking how some people will not fully load a Glock, for example, out of concern the springs etc will wear out faster. My thought was this gun looks so worn and uncared for, but maybe that would be some other reason not to fully load it? And I guess that could also explain the test shot, if the ammo was an unknown?

I'm not as knowledgeable as either of you, so trying to learn more by asking. It feels like a "dirty habit" the way I've been taught to chuck things all in together that way, which is what made me wonder where holsters, spare mags, etc might be. (Oh...I think the Browning is bouncing around in here someplace lol)

I have the opposite here with a new magazine. It is so stiff that I have left it loaded intentionally hoping it will loosen up a bit.

I wouldn't expect to find holsters and spare mags with a gun in criminal circulation, to be honest.

Not that I remember. The light was right in front of the shower stall when you stepped out.

Yes, I've stayed in a bunch of hotels that had these lights installed. Always in cold weather climates. Never saw goggles.

Yes, i checked. They are mainly used to keep the bathroom warm and also to reduce condensation. No need to wear goggles if used for short periods of time.

Shower cap? (i.e. used and folded) It looks fairly small in comparison to the belt on the robe.

I need to go back and find which documentary or article has the mention, but I believe others are on record saying they checked in without ID as well. Basically just hurried through, front desk seemed rushed/super busy. I think Borghild Stradnes, or perhaps the couple from Switzerland who was on their honeymoon at the time.

The picture is so blurry it’s hard to tell. Could be the hotel monogram.

As for the ceiling light in the bathroom, it’s not for tanning, it’s only to keep you warm while you towel yourself. I have one in my own bathroom! Same kind of light some restaurants have to keep the food warm until the waiter comes to pick it up.

This story is fascinating enough without dreaming up impossible scenarios. No?

The towels don’t have monograms, and this object is 3D.

Another question. When police arrived on the scene they took a photo from the doorway, before entering the room. In the distance there's a table with a stand that has some papers in, not uncommon for a business hotel.

During CSI processing of the room, but before completion, those papers were all removed from the stand. You can see that in the photo of the food, just to the top of the shot.

CSIs don't remove objects during processing, it would break the chain of evidence and compromise a crime scene. So why were these removed? And why these, and not a whole bunch of other objects that were around?
