Well, if it should happen to be her, it might explain the "s" tattoo (her name).

  • #502
Good find Alleykins and yes that could absolutely explain 'S tattoo!

I did a 4-way comparison with the NCMEC reconstructions and pictures of Sharon Smith. It's pretty close, IMHO.

Sharon would be 25/26 when Arroyo died. I think she was much younger.

  • #505
I thought about that, too, Spring, but the upper range they have for AGJD is 25, she's right on the edge of that.
She also has two kids, and I'm not sure if it were determined that AGJD ever had kids or not, but I figured the possible match would be worth looking in to, anyway. I'm hoping LE will think it at least worth a phone call.

Did this Jane Doe have an overbite?

Her team is very motivated to have her ID'd and will get her ruled in/out if it's turned in

Did this Jane Doe have an overbite?

Her one NCMEC recon looks weird, so I can see where you'd wonder if she did or not.

Hoping this attaches properly. I did a side-by-side of both views of Rosie and Arroyo. IDK if I'm in the minority here, but I feel like the 1st NCMEC recon was more accurate than the current one (which is why I put it on the collage as well). I do like the current one though. I like that they included the side-view.

Rosie Schlicker has a celestial/ turned up nose. AGJD has a Greek nose, though almost Roman. As far as I can tell, at least.

Forgot to add here. The possible match was followed up on, and Rosie was ruled out as Arroyo.

Has there been any update on whether or not Patricia Taylor has been ruled out? It's been a few months.

So I have a small list of questions concerning Arroyo's case. I did this with Buckskin Girl a while back. I don't think many of the questions have answers that any of us would know, expect I'm sure a few have answers that I've overlooked. :embarrassed: I've got an awful memory lol, and it's been a while since I read the thread in its entirety, so please bear with me.

1. Was it determined whether she had given birth?
2. What position was her body in when she was discovered?
3. Did the blows to the head, or the stab wounds come first?
4. What was her blood type?
5. Was a toxicology report completed? If so, what were the results?
6. Did she have tan lines, or a sunburn?
7. Were her legs and underarms shaven?
8. Were there any possible sightings of her in the area?
9. How old was her tattoo estimated to have been?
10. What were her stomach contents?
11. What condition were her hands in (smooth, calloused, dirty fingernails, etc.)
12. Had she engaged in sexual activity shortly before she died?
13. Has she been exhumed?
14. Is there any chance of isotope analysis?
15. How old did her fingernail polish look to be? Was it freshly painted, faded?
16. What condition were her feet in?
17. Is there any chance of getting DNA left by her killer?
18. Had she performed oral sex on someone before dying?

I know #15 isn't all that important, but I do wonder if she seemed to be someone who really liked painting nails, doing makeup, that kind of thing.

2. What position was her body in when she was discovered?

I discovered that Arroyo has got a Wikipedia article, which I was unaware of! Must've been a very new addition. Anyway, according to the Wikipedia article:

"It had been placed in a 'posed' position and was face-down."

13. Has she been exhumed?

Thanks, Wikipedia--2003 exhumation. Lol I couldn't find the time to reread the thread, sorry :(

I also was unaware that she was possibly stabbed with an ice pick. Poor angel. We've got to bring her back home. :rose:

Huh. Sweetwater Jane Doe was also probably murdered with an ice pick; she was found in 1992. Was believed to be from or connected to Tuscon. I wonder if there's a connection.

Thank you Alleykins! I'm sure there's plenty more questions that I just can't think of. If anyone has some questions, I'd like to hear them and add them to the question list. I don't know if any of them could be answered by LE, but perhaps the questions (and possible answers) could make interesting discussion topics.

Since Sahara Sue got pollen testing done, and her case is managed by the same people as Arroyo's, I'm wondering if there's any chance Arroyo could get pollen testing done. Or, better yet, isotopes. Sahara Sue's pollen was found on her clothes, and Arroyo was found nude. I was wondering if pollen could be collected from Arroyo's hair, and then used for testing? I'd prefer isotope testing, of course, but I'd be so happy if both could be done.

Link to Arroyo's Find A Grave page HERE. Soon, it will be the 36th anniversary of our girl's death. It makes me so sad to think that she doesn't have any family or friends who know to mourn her. RIP angel, we are NEVER giving up! :rose:

I was thinking about pollen testing for AGJD, but not really sure where they would get it except her hair. I hope Carbuff will weigh in on this. I would like to see isotope testing done for this case, too.
I would like to add to the list of questions: were there any witnesses who might have thought they saw her prior to her death, like there were for WCJD and Sahara Sue. I ask because I didn't know they had actually interviewed anyone who claimed to have seen BG until recently.
