After a lot of thoughts (considering matches and theories) about this casestart to thinking out of the box (and maybe I’m crazy) I’m new here so I stillhave to learn putting thumbnails, pictures etc. so I leave the link to thecase. Of course all help and feedback would be helpful J
Could it be the daughter of Sharon Louise Guisti; Clara Arleen Gustia (nopictures) 10 months old and born may, 4, 1962, (in 1980 18 years) red(dish)hair and blue eyes. Mother Sharon Louise Guisti en little sister (MichelleRenee, born march 26, 1961) and Clara are missing since march 5 1963 from PortTownsend Washington.

And I’m still somehow not getting over the feeling that Arroya Grande JaneDoe could be Mary Leah Rodermund, although I read somewhere that her dad was a police officer so you think he would/could pull some strings. There is something with the chin of both girls (it seems like that the chin is a little thicker at the right site (could also be the result of something else, trauma or postmortem with UID. I don’t know) Also all the reconstructions that were made in comparison with pictures of Mary Leah make me wonder (but eyes can deceive). In the first reconstructions de cupido bows seems more pointy on one site. I see the same thing with Mary Leah. But then Louisiana is a long way from Nevada I guess (but for a trafficker not) and on the pictures of Mary Leah, you can’t see a real gap between the teeth. There are sadly no dentals available from Mary Leah, I read) Also I wonder about which seems to be a mole on UID’s chin (post mortem picture) which is not there anymore on some reconstruction-drawings. (could be a dirty picture or left over dirt, we will probably never no, but could be an important marker) Comparison the data:
DOB Mary Leah 1962-02-11 / Arroya Grande Jane Doe, most likely between1961 – 1964
Date missing 1978-03-02/ Jane Doe found 1980-10-5
Heigth Mary Leah 5’4” (alsomentioned 5’5” somewhere) between 158 – 160 cm / Jane Doe 5'2” (62 inches, or about 157 cm (as a dutchie I always have to go back to cm to get an idee)
Weigth Mary Leah 52 – 55 kg (different units on different sites sometimes pound or lbs makes it diffucult) / Jane Doe 103 pounds, 128 lbs (47 - 51,5 kg)
Hair Color Mary Leah Brown (look at thumbnail) / Jane Doe Brown (reddish brown)
Eye Color Blue,Hazel / Jane Doe light eyes, blue, green or hazel
Would like to put the pictures site by site, but I’m new here. Still have to find out… I found this picture of Mary Leah. Look at the hair (maybe also a little reddish picture) seems to me that she had hanging earrings, ears pierced?

Tried to put a thumbnail picture but I got an error message grrr

I always question circumstances where the wife runs out, never to be seen again. It's possible this was domestic violence, it's also possible she did run away with the girls, was picked up by someone never to be seen again.

Both girls have DNA available in NamUs
NamUs MP # 12506 Michelle Giusti https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/12506/2/
NamUs MP # 12507 Clara Giusti https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/12507/3/

Circumstances of Disappearance - Sharon Giusti and her two infant children -- Michelle and Clara Arlene -- disappeared from their Port Townsend farm on March 5, 1963. On March 9, 1963, a local farmer reported that his wife, Sharon, and two daughters disappeared from the family farm four days earlier. The Giusti farm was located about five miles south of Port Townsend, Washington. The husband told deputies that he had been working in the fields all afternoon and when he returned at the end of the day, his family, a car, some clothing and cash were missing. Relatives told deputies that they had neither seen nor heard from Sharon or her two children since March 5 of that year.

The day after Sharon's husband filed the missing persons report, the car that Sharon was driving was found underneath a highway overpass more than two miles from the farm. The car was unlocked and there was no trace of Sharon or the kids.

Bit of hope, I think Sharon and her two babies are deceased, they never made it out of the car/house alive. The very thought of this makes me sick.

Bit of hope, your doing a great job bringing in cases not considered and this is what solves cases. [emoji172]

I agree. I think that her family probably called looking for her but she wasn't there so the husband was forced to report them missing.

Sadly enough you are probably right, but you never know. It is heartbreaking to read of all those missing women who where likely killed by their husbands who got away with it. Shameful to see that a lot of times the husband has no proper data of the missing women, not even a picture in some cases. But let's not forget that there are also evil women.

Is that an "s" or is it an overlapping U and A? Could a pimp have marked her? Do they do that kind of thing?

That crossed my mind too. I have found googling that some do. I have also thought it might be a 5, and perhaps it was some kind of fad with her peer group. Teens hearing about self tattooing and trying it. Maybe she could only handle one letter and stopped. If pimps did brand their women, you would think the cops working the case would have recognized it or at least asked Las Vegas Vice about it. I am trying to read through the thread. There would be a big difference one would think, between 14 and 20. Wisdom teeth seem more likely to be impacted in the later teens. I use to live near here in the 90's but never knew this story.

Hi,

Do you mean with your comment that there is DNA and that she is already ruled out/could be ruled out? I'm new here...

  • #571
Yes they do. Mostly in the neck (a lot of bar code) or at the lower back, but I did see examples of tattoos on the Internet on hands, under the eyes, the legs...do I have to go on.... (its makes me want to throw up) and they are most of the time very professional, "nice" tattoos.

I don't think this was a human trafficking tattoo (but you never know) It's hard to tell if it is a S or a monogram UA...somehow I can see that too...

Also the swastika comes to my mind.....but not finished

For sure in my opinion this is a homemade tattoo

Wisdom teeth impact between 17 and 25

Usually when both the UP and MP have DNA listed as available in NamUs, it means they are automatically compared and can be assumed to have been ruled out, even if not listed as a rule on the unidentified remains list. That's my take on it, anyway. Hope it helps. :)

Wisdom teeth impact between 17 and 25

In 2008, when my daughter was 14/15, she ended up falling down the steps. The ER did a full body x-ray; her wisdom teeth were showing as impacted but no one told me. She had braces, she kept telling the orthodontist her mouth hurt bad. He never took an x-ray, I guess because he thought it was the braces and rubber bands making her mouth hurt. She ended up taking the braces off herself the next year. She started having health issues after taking the braces off, at some point I looked thru her medical records, that's when I found the ER x-rays. From my experience, wisdom teeth can come in earlier. I had mine out when I was 15 or 16.

I'm surprised the orthodontist didn't take an x-ray of her skull when she had braces on. Mine did. That's when I learned I only had one. The rest never materialized. When it erupted, it didn't hurt and I had enough space to let it come in. The only reason I had it pulled was because it was cheaper than having a filling when it got a cavity. Congenitally missing adult teeth runs in my family.

Thanks for catching it. Been sick for over a week.

When there's DNA on both sides its easier for them to check if a match. We don't know who holds the UP DNA and if it was in a system that could be checked when the MP's sample was run

FWIW I remember scratching boys names, initials on my arm when I was in class. The next step would have been to apply some ink but I didn't go that far. You can still see a distinct W on my forearm. I am the same age that AGJD would have been

Sorry if this video has been linked before. Its a newscast of this story in 2015. It includes the investigator who still visits her grave. He said she was 17-18 years old and she had been stabbed with a two pronged instrument. I think other posts have said a 3 inch ice pick. A two prong tool might be a carving fork, or a weeding tool perhaps.

I know it is kind of a long shot, but as high school reunion committees begin planning reunions, there are some classmates that will be " whereabouts unknown" or " trying to locate the following people for Class of Whatever " ( most likely 1978, 79, 80, 81, 82 in Arroyo's case, assuming she graduated and did not drop out). Reunion committees in smaller towns /cities can usually get a newspaper article about the upcoming reunion/missing classmates in the paper or posted on their school websites. Please keep an eye out for females who might be on these types of lists. It only takes one person to recognize Arroyo's or any other UID 's info, or to think "Suzy is on the missing list for Class of 80 and no one has seen her since graduation- she wasn't at the 10 year reunion either......".......
