I hope that companies that offer shuttle services like the one that Naomi used at Panasonic will take a look at their routes and where they pick up employees. A dark Walmart parking lot doesn't strike me as a safe option, especially during hours when the store isn't even open.

Altho at that hour, what would be open? So many places have truncated hours still from the lockdowns.

PRESS RELEASE: Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detectives find no ties between Anna Scott and Naomi Irion cases
Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam, and the men and women of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, extend their deepest condolences to the family of Naomi Irion who was discovered deceased according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office release of information on March 30, 2022.
To allay community members’ concerns, Homicide Detectives do not have evidence that connect Anna Scott and Naomi Irion to one another, nor Anna Scott to the current suspect in the Irion case. At this time, there is no indication that the two cases are connected.
Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detectives wish to speak with anyone who has information regarding Scott’s murder. Scott was found deceased in a burned vehicle on southbound I-580 on February 3, 2022.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detective Division at (775) 328-3320 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900. Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s) wanted in connection with Anna Scott’s homicide. Refer to case #WC22-563.

I'd like to point out that Washoe County is the most populous county in northern Nevada. Their Sheriff Coroner's office contracts with the smaller surrounding counties ( Storey, Carson City, Lyon, Douglas, Churchill, Pershing, Humbolt, and probably Lander and Eureka) to do their forensic coroner work and provide support for their Investigative divisions. It does not mean that her death was in Washoe County. It is a practical business arrangement for small counties that can't support the personnel and quality of forensic investigation that the larger Washoe county can provide.

March 31, 2022

UPDATE:

The Churchill County Sheriff’s Office along with the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of Naomi Irion as a homicide, the exact cause of death is known however cannot be released at this time as the circumstances around that event if released would compromise the ongoing investigation.

The gravesite where the body of Naomi Irion was found and recovered was located in the area of Coal Canyon Road within Churchill County.

No further information can be released at this time as this is still an open and active investigation.

The Churchill County Sheriff’s Office and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office will continue to work closely on these cases and as updates that do not compromise the investigation are available we will relay them.

That is incredible that they found poor Naomi. Do we know how they found her? Did he tell them? I’m sorry if this has already been posted. I can’t keep up. ( and my heart goes out to her…such a sweet expression, and gentle eyes.)

Sadly we don’t know as yet, other than LE saying it was via a tip. We don’t know where that tip came from until they say so. Some have speculated here that it could have been from his truck GPS data, but again we won’t know until LE reveals that information.

This is great. The amount of things I keep on my person when I got out for a walk for exercise is crazy. I've actually carried a gun, a tazer, a knife, texted my husband when I left the house and when I get back home. I've had those thoughts of I need to stand up straight when I walk, be confident, don't appear weak. constantly looking at cars that go by and make sure they aren't looping back around. It's crazy.

This is why i walk at the mall. But then there's still that parking lot to consider!

They haven't said, only that it was "through investigative techniques." Perhaps his phone? Or someone squealed.

Coal Canyon Rd runs past Lovelock Correctional Facility, might they have cameras monitoring the nearby roads and freeway on-ramps/exits? If he went in or out of the area that way. Still wouldn’t explain how they found a six foot spot in dozens of miles of total desolation.

The body location has to be based on phone signal, truck GPS, or the suspect revealed the location.

I don't believe that he started abducting and murdering young women at age 41, so I think he has gotten away with doing this in the past. Because he got away with it, he was less cautious. I think he kept his phone turned on during the abduction and murder because he never expected that his truck would be connected with Naomi.

Help me with the timeline.

Did TD set that guy up to be let go?

Did he fear the guy knew too much? And that it would put distance between that guy and him?

I feel like that guy didn't even realize the value of what he did know about TD's movements because, naturally, he was so jaded by the firing.

Is it possible that the company isn't the bad guy here (for the firing) but TD is, because he created the safety violation that led to his termination and did it to get rid of him?

The last ping for Naomi's phone was 10 minutes from abduction location, close to Hwy 80 route to Lovelock. Coal Canyon Road is just North of Lovelock. He probably drove Hwy 80 to return to Fernley, as he wouldn't want someone in Fallon to recognize him driving the wrong vehicle.
