Silver/grey sedans are very easy to find....especially at night and there are so few of them around, you know?

At this point, everything seems okay.

Questions:

If you didn't know the people in the other vehicle, why would you expect that you'd be able to find them? They could be miles away; their car could be parked in their garage.

Why would you want to find them?

If you were afraid of these guys, why wouldn't you just barricade yourself in your house, and alert the police to the situation? And if you were afraid of these guys, why would you leave your daughter at home alone?

It doesn't make much sense to me either. At that point, it was just a verbal confrontation that was over. Why did they get a gun and go look for the guy? What were they hoping to accomplish? Unless the sedan driver lives in the area (in which case, why hasn't police found him yet), how did they hope to find him?

Everybody posting on this thread has made excellent points, IMO, many that hadn't occurred to me. Thanks for pointing them out. This story has made me a little crazy since it happened.

Anxious to hear how the vigil went off.

They didn't. From what I understand, they gave up on finding it and decided to return home. When they did get home, they notice the car had been waiting for them in front of their house and this is when shots were fired.

So I am guessing the initial car did follow them home, but only moved in a visible position later.

No, per what is being reported, they found the other car.

"Meyers and her son left the cul-de-sac and found the other car. The driver followed them to their home. Steiber said shots were exchanged in front of the Meyers’ house. When the shooting ended, Meyers’ son saw his mom lying on the ground, a gunshot to her head."

Tammy is the victim because she lost the gun fight? Son came out of the house with his gun blazing. No regard to the neighbors that might have been hit in the crossfire when Tammy and her son had a gunfight in their neighborhood. IMO, LE was trying to calm down the community with his statement. MOO

Are we absolutely sure a member of her family didn't shoot her?

Also: I knew I could count on you guys to catch the hinkey meter right away. I thought something was weird when she was giving her kid a driving lesson at night in Las Vegas (I don't even want to drive at night in Las Vegas) but there was oh, so much more wrong than that.

Two things on my mind right now - I hope that they do find the occupants/driver/alleged gunman of other car because:

(a) witness accounts of what happened and IF there are THREE people that will be THREE accounts of what happened

(b) IF there was another handgun involved - perfect - let's do forensic analysis of that gun to see if it was that bullet that killed the mother or was it a bullet from the son's gun**

**but then again maybe son has more than one gun??
