NV - Tesla Cybertruck explosion at Trump hotel in Vegas investigated as a possible terrorist act, 1 Jan 2025

Both attackers spent time in Afghanistan. A lot of soldiers who spent time there, even in non-combat roles, were not the same when they came back.

There may be a connection between the two cases, but it looks like a tenuous connection at best.

This bombing seems to be a symbolic gesture that has accomplished very little.

- could the time be a random coincidence?
Yes, because there is a statistical "blip" in both suicides and homicides towards the season between Xmas/NY.

- could serving in the army be a statistical coincidence? Absolutely, given the numbers of US military,

- training at a big base at the same time could be a coincidence.

I'd say that homicide/killed by the police in New Orleans is different from suicide/"what will be, will be" in Las Vegas.

Plus, plowing through a crowd is an unbelievably personal and brutal way of homicide. Blowing up oneself and perhaps, others is much more detached from potential victims.

Firework mortars and camp fuel canisters were later found stuffed into the back of the vehicle.

Authorities said at a news conference Thursday that Livelsberger shot himself in the head before the Cybertruck explosion.

The Las Vegas Police Department said it is still investigating the fire and explosion. Jeremy Schwartz, the acting FBI special agent in charge of the Las Vegas office, also confirmed that the FBI is involved in the investigation.

On Thursday, the FBI confirmed that a search was carried out at a residence in Colorado Springs in connection to the Cybertruck explosion
*so how did he trigger the firework mortars if they were found in the back?, i assume his remains were was found in the drivers seat.

Can anyone ID, these pipes? They came from the cybertruck "trunk"

When I saw them in the vehicle, I thought maybe they were those firecracker sticks that resemble dynamite, but obviously these are metal or PVC.

I personally compared him to the guy who lit himself on fire.

I think he was suicidal. He wanted to "go out in style" and "take some people with him". He decided on a relationship that was "in the news". (Musk-Trump) This would guarantee this would be all over the news. (Like the guy who lit himself on fire)
Fortunately, the "taking people with him" failed.
He did succeed in "going out in style".

I'd agree. As you were typing this, I was thinking about the same.

In old times, there were purely political self-immolators. A very specific and narrow group. Now, it seems, the group has widened to include people who are rather young and don't have a diagnosed mental illness. Yet, it seems, they are quietly depressed and suicidal. Such people don't kill themselves for a cause. They kill themselves, but "dedicate" their suicide to a certain cause. Their goal is not to "go out with a bang". Rather, the goal is utilitarian, "so that my suicide is not totally in vain." Did Matt L. plan to harm the hotel and the people? I think that "Tesla at a Trump hotel" is more of a statement and he didn't care about the consequences. Ultimately, the underlying cause was depression.

I thought they lived in Germany and he was on leave in the US. He visited his mother a day before the incident.

I believe these are confusing things...and not factual.

a poster edited a post indicating that a visit was NOT Matt but an individual who was injured/killed.

We really do not know if there is a second wife. unless someone can repost something factual.'

Do we really know if he has a baby? I think all we have is a picture with no clarification.

He is divorced from a first wife, whose picture was plastered over news sources earlier. Many kept referring to her as his wife now. Not true.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said they believe 37-year-old Colorado Springs resident Matthew Livelsberger was in the driver’s seat when the truck exploded, though the body was not immediately identifiable. Police say Livelsberger was dead before the explosion from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A handgun was found at his feet, police said.

Two semiautomatic firearms, purchased by Livelsberger on Monday, were found inside the vehicle, McMahill said. Investigators are looking into how the fireworks and gas and camping fuel canisters in the back of the vehicle were ignited.

Also under investigation is whether Livelsberger intentionally targeted one of Trump’s properties. Musk is a close advisor to the president-elect.

“It’s not lost on us that it’s in front of the Trump building that it’s a Tesla vehicle, but we don’t have information at this point that definitively tells us or suggests it’s because of this particular ideology or any of the reasoning behind it,” said Las Vegas FBI Special Agent in Charge Spencer Evans.

The route he took can have so many reasons, and a combination of reasons. For example:
- location superchargers Tesla. You need to charge very often with an Electrical vehicle
- revisiting places with beautiful memories before he dies
- visiting someone on the way before he dies
- buying the guns/fireworks
- bucketliststuff before he dies.
- maybe no wintertires (if needed) on the car
- not likely but: warmer route. The battery of Electrical vehicles can drive less kilometers when it’s cold.

Time & evidence will tell. The family & cops. And if they want to share it: us.

According to a family member, who spoke exlusively to The Independent, Livelsberger “was a 100 percent patriot,” who loved the Army and was an ardent supporter of President-elect Donald Trump. Pictures from social media show him with a tattoo of a bald eagle and the American flag visible on his shoulder.

“He used to have all patriotic stuff on Facebook, he was 100 percent loving the country,” his uncle, Dean Livelsberger, said. “He loved Trump, and he was always a very, very patriotic soldier, a patriotic American. It’s one of the reasons he was in Special Forces for so many years. It wasn’t just one tour of duty.”

That makes things more complicated.

Perhaps he was trying to make a comment about Musk specifically?

Or perhaps he was upset about how Trump defended Musk's statements in favour of the H-1B visas, feeling betrayed.

I too wondered what that tattoo might represent! Google Lens didn't help much. Anyone? Where are all our tattoo experts?? (kidding. lol) Cuz it means something to him. But what?

It is a version of the triple crescent moon symbol, which is a version of a triquetra associated with neopagans, often representing the triple goddess. the mother, maiden, and crone. can sometimes be called the dark moon.

edit: just saw that it is also the triple horn of odin, which i assume is more likely what he meant it as. very different meaning.

I think it's the Triple Horn of Odin.

Over the past few months, an array of photos Livelsberger posted from Germany, including pictures of himself proposing to his partner, and the ring he gave her, have “disappeared,” his uncle said.

He was currently stationed in Germany, and was on leave in Colorado Springs

McMahill said the coroner’s office found that Livelsberger “had sustained a gunshot wound to the head prior to the detonation of the vehicle.” And while the investigation is still ongoing, he believed Livelsberger’s actions indicated “a suicide with a bombing that occurred immediately thereafter,” rather than a “suicide mission.”

investigators also recovered a cache of fireworks

It remains unclear how the explosives were detonated.

Everything was consumer grade

Livelsberger divorced his first wife, who now lives in South Florida with her new husband

This is just MOO but how do we know that the GSW was self-inflicted? Is there no possible way that he may actually be a victim in this?

i thought that too.... why in heavens name, would he want his identification documents with him?
Unless, just trying to make sure we all knew he was clearly a suicide.

But I do think that LE is going to be able to figure this out. Hoping.

I have considered this, maybe to send a message to someone?

This is what I expected to read about him. He was an accomplished military guy. This one has me very perplexed, I hope that answers will come through the investigation. I can only imagine the questions his family has.

Or someone else wanted it known it was him. All JMO
