I feel incredibly sad for the baby and hope that there are some resources left for the baby's future and for the wife who will now raise her child alone.

Someone posted up thread that ML was likely only one year away from a possible retirement and good pension and benfits from the Army. If that is true, then ML may have denied his wife and child the security they deserved when he took his own life for whatever reason.

I have a level of sympathy for him too.

I dont think he meant to injure other people

The human mind isnt meant to deal with the trauma of killing people, and watching people die

It will be interesting to see when the photos of his family were all taken down from ML's facebook page, as reported by ML's uncle. If they were taken down before the argument with his current wife at Christmas, before he returned to the U.S. for his leave from being stationed in Germany, then it's possible he planned this before he left Germany to come back to the U.S. for the Christmas holiday. If that is the case, then the argument with his wife over his infidelity was likely not instrumental in the actions he took in Las Vegas. He was on some kind of mission.

Looking forward to learning more as the investigation continues.

Cybertruck bomber Matthew Livelsberger claims China is stalking the US with advanced drones launched from submarines in an unhinged suicide email.

The suicide note someone claiming to be him sent to retired US Army intelligence officer Sam Shoemate shortly before the bombing.

The email claimed the mysterious drones seen flying over New Jersey and sometimes other parts of the east coast were Chinese weapons.

It warned they could be well armed, attack anywhere, and were 'most dangerous threat to national security that has ever existed'.

I believe they were taken down before he came home. At least that is how it seemed the uncle worded it. But it could be due to marriage problems. He also took down all his political posts. Once again, the posts could have been an issue with his wife etc?

I personally attributed the post removals to depression. (At least yesterday I did. ) I figured, he was "didn't care about anything anymore, so he started removing stuff" as many people do when they are suicidal. Kinda like "giving away stuff"...

But then with this today...who knows?

The email supposedly from Livelsberger also claimed he was being 'followed' by authorities because he helped cover up 'war crimes' in Afghanistan.

Shoemate said he received the email on December 31 and turned it over to the FBI, but later chose to release it on his friend Shawn Ryan's podcast on Friday.

Yes, the real civilian world is a very tough place, with very few safety nets. I have sympathy for anyone without a safety net struggling out there these days.

Regardless of news reports, the evidence thus far tells me he was a terrorist of sorts, at minimum a suicide bomber. I think the folks in LE are reluctant to call him a terrorist simply because he was active duty military. If he were an average citizen who did the suicide bombing and left behind the manifesto, he would be labeled a terrorist. JMO

He got my attention, but I have no idea what he hoped I would learn about the country’s ills. All I learned is what I already knew - that untreated mental illness can lead to tragic outcomes like this. I can’t fix it, and now he’s dead. Just so senseless, and so sad.

I think that legally under federal law this could fall under "domestic terrorism." It fits the definition. But that definition is incredibly broad now and could include a LOT of activity. I think they are just choosing to not charge it as such.
