NV - Tesla Cybertruck explosion at Trump hotel in Vegas investigated as a possible terrorist act, 1 Jan 2025

Del Carmen also believes there is a connection between the attack in New Orleans and the CyberTruck explosion in Vegas.

He is wrong. There absolutely is a way they could be completely isolated from one another. If one has to do with Isis and the other has to do with a statement against Trump/Musk (which is a possibility), then they probably are isolated. It isn't like the two people picked random days of the year. They both picked pretty significant days that different people could target.

Interesting. I would say I disagree. I think both were intentional and meant to invoke terror, but trucks rented in different states, occurring at unrelated times, I don’t see an obvious connection. The roads are no longer closed and NYE revelers are not on the Strip at 8:40 a.m., so the NYE celebration could not have been the target here in LV.

I would say both were meant as terrorist acts, but I’d be surprised if they were jointly planned and coordinated. I hope we find out. My opinion.

SCHOENMANN: Well, you know, from the video I was able to view, it looked - it actually looked like something straight out of a movie. The truck we're talking about is a Tesla vehicle that came to market in 2023. It's an all-electric vehicle with a stainless steel exterior, and it's called the Cybertruck. It looks something like a spaceship. In the video, the truck is sitting there, and police said it was only there for about 15 seconds. Then it completely erupts - flames shooting 20 feet or more into the air. Authorities also said fireworks - mortar-like fireworks - were found in the truck, along with gas canisters which were not identified, and it's unclear if the explosion is related to those fireworks.

*Multiple sources confirm 37yo Matthew Livelsberger from Colorado Springs was the driver of Cybertruck that exploded outside Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas

Just some tidbits:

Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill said authorities know who rented the truck with the Turo app in Colorado, but are not releasing the name until investigators determine if it is the same person who died.
9NEWS Investigates has learned through a source that the person who rented the truck and drove it to Las Vegas has lived in Colorado Springs, and has military experience. 9NEWS is choosing not to identify the person until law enforcement has publicly identified them.

McMahill said video captured at Telsa charging stations provided by CEO Elon Musk helped authorities track the vehicle’s journey, arriving in Las Vegas about 7:30 AM. then driving about an hour later into the valet area of the Trump International Hotel, where it sat 15 to 20 seconds before the explosion occurred.

Was a Green Beret and 19 years in the military (Army) per LinkedIn matching his name/location

He's got enough connections on there it sure seems to be a legit LinkedIn and his name isn't very common so I think it's got to be him.

Horrifying if true that both suspected terrorists had military experience. IMO this angle won't get enough attention, but why are former military personnel so angry and desperate?
It's less surprising to me than it's concerning. VERY concerning. Is it part of the plan (to gain this experience to use in years after the fact?)? That's the concerning part, and has been for quite some time now.

So this is weird. Both the New Orleans terrorist and this guy have a previous Fort Bragg connection during their time in the Army. I still don't believe there's any connection, but there are obvious coincidences here.

The complex is located on the east side of Colorado Springs in the Stetson Hills neighborhood. The FBI is at one of the addresses associated with Livelsberger.

Our team at the scene has seen law enforcement escort neighbors away from the complex, but police say there is no known threat to the community.

News5 crews at the scene have observed armored vehicles and agents in tactical gear

If he was military, is it possible this could be due to bringing his personal vehicle back to the US?
