I know this isn't the pose, but it's to show how meaty their legs are:

And then they usually tuck them back when flying:

Here's a sketch of someone depicting the legs tucked back:

I'll look for better examples if that's not clear.

No, that's clear. I see what you're saying and I don't disagree with you. But I think if its legs are in any of those positions, they're below where the cloth is torn.

I'm most excited about the possible background scenery. That's a great discovery if that's what it is.

I'm enlarging the lightbox photo to get a better idea of what you're seeing.

I see the face in the lightbox picture enlarged.

It's a shame the forum makes the uploads small pictures afterwards. I'm going to upload it into a photo album and see if we can post side by sides of the lightbox.

I posted the head of a hawk above, but I think the lightbox picture is more like an eagle head, don't you?

Maybe even an owl?

My thanks to carbuff for having the patience to explain this to me! :)

It's a shame the detectives can't use Tide and serious stain remover to eliminate the dirt, but I understand they can't do that to evidence. I'd soak that sucker for days and use a toothbrush and to get it clean. I'd also use Iron Out to eliminate the blood. I'm sort of fanatic about the chemistry of stains. Being a SAHM for too many years does that to a woman.

I wonder if the theme of the shirt might be something in the spirit of this -

with a sun/moon, native american with head dress, and flying bird of some sort. We sold many of those style of shirts at the KMart I worked at as a teen in the 80s!

We think alike. I just spent a very long time searching for owls flying with their heads down coming in from the right with large ear/eyebrow tuft things to try to find something similar. Doesn't seem feasible IMO but maybe I'm just worn out from looking!

Am I the only one seeing the face of a wolf inside of CB's oval? Also, has anyone went with the idea that this could be the Mythological thunderbird? The more I look at this, the more I am seeing a headdress.

But the tail feathers in our design are definitely pointed downwards from the wings. I don't think there's a headdress. However, I obviously can be swayed by a very persuasive presentation of your opinion, like carbuff did. LOL

It looks like the tail feathers of a thunderbird are long. Last week, I was trying to make it a Phoenix (for the orange) and the tail interfered with that theory of mine.

I need to step back and let things percolate a bit... reassess... I might not even think I see it later... :)
