Trump’s Lawyers Accuse Real Estate Executive Who Delivered Damaging Testimony of Perjury The AM proceedings were briefly derailed with Attorney General Letitia James’s counsel saying Trump’s team was trying to intimidate a witness — and performing for the press

Another part of the performing and intimiidation ....

A judge warned Donald Trump and others at his New York civil fraud trial to keep their voices down on Wednesday after the former president threw up his hands in frustration and spoke aloud to his lawyers while a witness was testifying against him.

State lawyer Kevin Wallace asked Engoron to ask the defense to “stop commenting during the witness’s testimony”, adding that the “exhortations” were audible on the witness’s side of the room. The judge then asked everyone to keep their voices down, “particularly if it’s meant to influence the testimony”.

I think this is a good reason why T's trial should not be televised. This grandstanding shows a huge lack of respect for the legal process which becomes normalized as T engages in such childish antics.

"I hereby demand a full apology from the failing Forbes Magazine, and their third-rate psycho writer, Dan Alexander, for the many false and libelous articles they have written about me, and for the cooperation they have given to the Racist and Incompetent A.G. of New York State, Peekaboo James," Trump wrote on the social media site, Truth Social.

Trump went on to describe Forbes as being "owned by the Communist Chinese Government, and China will do anything to stop MAGA. Forbes, a Globalist 'Rag,' is a propaganda play against TRUMP."

Last week, Alexander published an update on Trump's wealth, in which he said the former president is "nowhere near as rich as he boasts, nor as poor as some critics claim," placing his net worth at $2.6 billion.
“But I’m totes not feces-smearing cray cray. Believe me.”

"I should be in Iowa now. I should be in New Hampshire now," Trump told reporters outside the courtroom, referring to two important states early in a U.S. presidential election campaign.

At the civil trial, Trump referred to an order on Monday that bars him from verbally attacking U.S. prosecutors, court staff and potential witnesses in a separate criminal case in which he is accused of trying to overturn his 2020 election loss.

"My speech has been taken away from me. I'm a candidate that's running for office, and I'm not allowed to speak. This is a railroading," Trump said.

A few notes on Trump's message before court this morning: * Trump still can, and does, attack the judge under the gag order shielding court staff * Executive Law 63(12) has, in fact, "been used before"—at least half a dozen times in the last few years * Scholars aren't named

James also requested the court ban the former president & his business from acquiring real estate in New York or from applying for loans from any New York financial institution for five years. James's civil case accuses Trump of lying from 2011 to 2021 about asset values at the Trump Organization, as well as his own net worth, in order to obtain better terms from lenders & insurers.

There is no requirement he has to be in an New York courtroom! He can be in Iowa, he can be in New Hampshire. In fact, go!

He is not stifled to speak on the campaign (as long as he doesn't attempt to thwart justice...and why would a presidential candidate want to thwart justice?).

But, there are many people who believe his lies and repeat the mantra, "lock her up!" Opps, that's the wrong one. They will repeat, "witch hunt!"

And, perhaps more importantly, he gets more national attention with his appearances in the courtroom lobby than he does on the campaign trail - and the campaign doesn't have to spend money setting up his unnecessary courtroom appearances. Just a hunch.

He also apparently posted a link to Leticia James home address on Truth Social on Monday.

I'm sure he gets a kick out of publishing her address which, I'm assuming, is not as spacious and gold-covered as his residences. imo

I'm 100% positive he will be defended by people who point out that her address is publicly available so he the "right" to re-post it.....as if that makes his behavior acceptable. This man is running for our highest office and, imo, he does not bring honor to it with low-brow actions like this.

I hope A.G. James and family remain safe.

New York Attorney General Letitia James is requesting a forensic review of Trump Organization electronic data after identifying a missing set of emails between former CFO Allen Weisselberg and a real estate executive.

"The failure to produce these later emails indicates a breakdown somewhere in the process of preserving, collecting, reviewing and producing documents," state attorney Kevin Wallace wrote in a letter to Judge Arthur Engoron.

The request follows an accusation from Forbes Magazine, reported in a story last week, that Weisselberg committed perjury on the stand, based on "old emails and notes, some of which the attorney general's office does not possess." Despite Weisselberg testifying that he "never focused on the apartment," the Forbes story said that he "played a key role in trying to convince Forbes over the course of several years that it was worth more than it really was."

The letter from the attorney general appears to focus on an email exchange related to the value of Trump's golf courses, rather than the value of his Trump Tower penthouse at the center of the Forbes accusations.

"We would therefore propose that the Monitor undertake a forensic examination of electronic data held by the Trump Organization for the very brief period August to September of 2016 to determine if all responsive information has been produced," Wallace wrote.

While Weisselberg's testimony concluded last Thursday, both parties have reserved the right to call the former Trump Organization CFO back to the stand.
Trump departs for the day
