Thanks for submitting her for us. I was waiting for a Mod to give the ok. Only reason is because I feel the Mod is the "expert" and often when I sleuth stuff, in my excitement I miss details that would lead to obvious rule outs. Like CarlK might say nope due to height or age. I definitely respect the Mods, because otherwise IMOO, I would submit so much stuff that was way off and bog down the system...LOL.

I posted another article in my last post about reasons she may have left, those include unwanted sexual affection. Anyway, thanks for submitting for us. I hope this is Cali. http://whereaboutsstillunknown.wordpress.com/2013/03/18/nancy-jason/ and here is more about the Doctor treating her http://www.prem-rawat-bio.org/premies/hallowitz.html

Nancy is still on Namus...
https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/13877

Thanks. Nancy did not show up last night when I searched on Females in Maryland in Namus, but it does now -- ??

I was looking for a nod of approval for a few days but I got impatient. Davis is also plausable, but I decided to just submit Nancy and see what happened.

She looks promising, the only thing that caught my eye was the ears, the ears belonging to Cali Doe are detached, where as the ears on Nancy are attached at the bottom. Other then that, very similar !!! GOOD JOB!!!

The mouth is amazingly similar, even on the morgue photo

You "guys" are amazing with the info that you have found.

One strange think is that there was a NamUs profile for Nancy Jason in March that has now disappeared. However she is still on Doe and Charley and there is no evidence on the web that her case is resolved. I don't know what to think about this. Namus had made a number of changes lately may be related to "privacy" - eliminating birthdays, dentals, DNA info etc. Maybe they honored some request to remove this listing or maybe it was a transition error?

Possible Match
NAMUS #6583 – Caledonia Jane Doe Found 10 AM Nov 10, 1979 Estimated time of death 1 day

Nancy Lynn Jason (Former) NamUs Case Number: MP #13877 http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/j/jason_nancy.html

Missing since July 20, 1977 Bethesda, MD DOB: Sept 9, 1958, wears glasses, has epilepsy and requires medication. Affiliated with the Divine Light Mission, a religion group, planning to attend one of their meetings in FL. Disappeared after she pickup her medicine.

One blog indicated: “Dr. Robert Hallowitz, one of the doctors who had been treating Nancy at the time of her disappearance, lost his medical license in 1993, after several female patients complained that he had sex with them. Hallowitz reportedly told his patients that he was the “embodiment of God, on a mission to bring light and love into the world by fathering children.” One of his patients reported that Dr. Hallowitz had warned her that patients who had displeased him in the past had met untimely deaths.” http://whereaboutsstillunknown.wordpress.com/2013/03/18/nancy-jason/

Similarities
• Blood type: both A- (relatively rare - @6% frequency)
• Hair color and eye color for both : Brown, curly hair
• Both known to hitchhike
• Both had no known drug use
• Dental, none available on Nancy, Cali had no known treatment
• Nancy may have gone to FL, Cali had tan lines.
• Jason Weight 124; Cali 120
• Jason’s Age 19 when Cali was found: Cali 13 - 19

Discrepancies
Jason height: 5’-7”, Cali 63” 5-3” measured (list as 5-5 initially)

Surely is Nancy had been located Doe Network would have removed her profile? I do not know how fast Charley Project is on removing them, but Doe network is generally pretty quick about it.........to the best of my knowledge.

I have been guessing, but I email to whoever I can through NamUs, often on both sides. Most people have said that e-mail is best. I put a direct comparison together most of which I posted. The full one just has more contacts and links. On another case there has been radio silence so people have said to call, but I haven't gotten to that yet. About 1/2 the time I get some kind of acknowledgment back and or some notices of added data on those cases on NamUs. One local case related to a case that I am working on physical searchs officially as part of a volunteer group I called and did end up talking with the ME after the assistant said that they could not share any info so you never know.

Cheryl Wyant is another that should be looked at. But, with her there is the height issue. I just wonder how accurate entered heights are at times. Seems to be a lot of young teens/young women over 5'6" missing. Especially with younger teens, 5'7" seems really unnaturally tall, considering the average height for a young teen girl from ages 14-17 is 60-64". Some of these missing girls look tiny/petite and they are reported at 5'8" on namus. I wonder if people used a calculation back then that is no longer deemed accurate of adding mom and dad's height and dividing it by 2. I can think of several cases where I want to question the height as even valid on some of the missing. Maybe thats why we are not making many matches.

She does look like Cali. There is very little info on her, but being in a group home situation might fit. Maybe young to hitchhike cross country and survive for a bit but possible. It would be worth submitting.

I also cannot rule out Davis, but if we knew her blood type if more info on her dentals or if her pregnancy would be apparent if she lost it. She might be an easy rule out.

Yes, the lack of info on Davis still amazes me.....it is as if once they found her clothes they considered it solved......clothes and remains are two very different things.

I am not sure how much stock to put in the waitresses report as there I not alot of detail. Lima is a few miles east and south so she was not headed to Boston directly although she may have been taken to this somewhat remote site against her will.

I think that she may have been on her own, based on the minimal medical care I that if her family was around they were not able to do much for her.

I am not clear what the motive to kill her would be as she could not have had much money.

BBM: look at the FBI link: the diner is where they got the info about the suspect and his car. I guess someone saw them outside??

"An unknown male was seen with the victim at a diner near the recovery location."

Another thought- Based on the teeth isotopes, Cali was raised in the southwest until she was two years old.[

RSBM/BBM: Can I please have the link to the data concerning this isotope test on Cali's teeth? I see reference to it- but not the data. Thank you!

Locard’s exchange principle states that when a person comes into contact with an object or another person, a cross-transfer of physical evidence can occur. The exchanged materials indicate that the two objects were in contact. Trace evidence can be found on both persons (and/or objects) because of this cross-transfer. This evidence that is exchanged bears a silent witness to the criminal act. Locard used transfer (trace) evidence from under a female victim’s fingernails to help identify her attacker. The second part of Locard’s principle states that the intensity, duration, and nature of the materials in contact determine the extent of the transfer. More transfer would be noted if two individuals engaged in a fistfight than if a person simply brushed past another person.

Questions for police:1. Scraping under her nails and testing of material under them. 2. DNA on all of her clothes, including the inside of coat. Pollen/DNA on her socks, inside of shoes, and her bra & panties. If she was dragged by the ankles- there should be touch DNA on the bottom of the pant legs, socks. And to be shot in the head and turned over would require touch from perp on other clothing items.

We do not have anything except what was said anonymously to one WS member. That's all we get for now until LE decides to put it out there.

This is one of those kind of grey areas.....many truck rests have diners in them.......the waitress did not say if Cali ate the night she saw her in Lima......but the autopsy shows she had eaten about 2 hours prior to being murdered.....
So we do not know if they are referring to the diner in Lima, or perhaps a different diner that was closer to where Cali was found.

  • #956
We also need to know more about these truckers who saw her. How late was it the evening before when she was at the truck rest? We need a closer timeline.

Has anybody seen any information anywhere concerning any tests or observations about her bones? I would like to know if they are basing her age on only the dentals? Any input anybody?

  • #959
A person finds very interesting things when reading the older posts.......how did Cali start at as listed as 8 yrs old?
http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/mcicsearch/Flyers/FlyerCust1pic.asp?ID=3535
An 8 yr old....with her 12 yr molars????????

And what did the police officer mean when he told Carl......there are many things in her reconstructed pic that was not there?

And I can find NO reference to her bone growth plates? Momsrid6 and I have been reading the older posts here......you folks did some amazing sleuthing......but these questions we could not find the answers to.

I know they did dental x=rays.......what I do not know is where the age 8 came from? Is that why her pics all look so young? Does anybody have the answer?

... And what did the police officer mean when he told Carl......there are many things in her reconstructed pic that was not there?

IIRC, he said that they photoshopped out the bullet wound just above the inside corner of her right eye, and the modifications to the PM photo have affected her appearance.

I also noticed that in the frontal PM photo, her jawline has been digitally altered. I am guessing that there might have been a little postmortem sagging of her cheeks that they attempted to remove.
