Well that was bloody stupid of her eh?! She totally shot herself in the foot eh? All those months where she had gotten away with killing mary, then she messes it up by clearly p'd off that Adam hadn't taken the fall for it.

I hope she doesn't ever face freedom again.

BBM This is very interesting to me. I didn't think they had any evidence that Kaitlyn poisoned Mary, but the fact that the IP address was terminated from Kaitlyn's cell IP points to her murdering Mary, IMO.

Yes, thank you Niner and Harmony for yeoman work on a fascinating case.

I think that, yeah, she probably did do it but that no, the State doesn't have the goods to cancel reasonable doubt; and I conclude the jury will again see the central weaknesses of the case and, therefore, either by ending hung again or by outright vote, they will #freekaitlyn, as this is the last time the case should be tried. Chalk this one up to blind justice, and usher the next case into court.

bbm - I think the defense can and will argue that Adam could have mixed the C into one of her many vitamins, either at the office or at home. I know they have tested the vitamins and containers and they did not test positive for the poison, BUT they did so only after a couple of months (was it September?), so defense can argue Adam had plenty of time to get rid of the bottle in question. They already pointed out to the jury that the office was searched and treated as a crime scene with a 6 months delay. These long delays will be the Achilles heel of the case against Conley, imo.

I was also surprised to hear that it was a family member (I believe, Mary's sister) who called up LE months after Mary's death and asked them to start an investigation into her death. Why did the ME office not advise this right after autopsy? Did LE drop the ball early on which makes their collected evidence questionable now in court?

Understood, but I look for another hung jury and no retrial unless new evidence surfaces, etc.

Not exactly an acquittal: in effect more like a Scottish "not proven" verdict, a third path to justice -- not exactly innocent, but the deed itself by law unproven.

The Conley retrial will continue Monday. Judge Dwyer told the jurors during the beginning of the trial that there would only be two weeks of witness testimony.
