There's enough circumstantial evidence to see the timing. MOO, planned, premeditated, cold, and evil.

Here's Micaela Parker tweets from the courtroom. Thank You to Micaela for the great coverage of this trial.
https://twitter.com/OD_Parker?lang=en

She's detailing the relationship between Conley and Adam Yoder, starting in 2012 and lasting about two years. {AW Comment: Describing the character of the relationship between them, and that description covers a two-year period? Or, is it that the term of the relationship itself lasted two years?. Clear as mud to AW, at least.}

Ends Aug 2013, Conley isn't happy and Adam starts to distrust her. "But this defendant couldn't just let it go."

Halloween 2013 Conley tried to get Adam Yoder back, but he said no. Conley is currently smiling in the courtroom. {AW Comment: Odd. Very, very odd that she is smiling during this recitation.}

In Nov. 2013 Adam Yoder gets "lengthy and disturbing" text from Conley regarding an ectopic pregnancy, "Conley lost the baby & nearly died" {AW Comment: Were Conley's medical records produced to validate this claim of a miscarriage of hers If so, does the record indicate that Adam was the father of the fetus? I'm speculating that there were not records produced at trial on these points. Merely Conley's "ploy" to manipulate Adam -- typical behavior you'd expect from a histrionic, borderline personality-disordered female to get the man where she wants him. It worked, too! Temporarily.}

Lisi says Adam went immediately to Conley, comforted each other and grieved loss of a child.

Lisi says Adam can't abandon her at this time, and remain together through Aug. 2014. But he's not happy. Trust issues, believes she cheated

Split again in 2014.

September 2014 she's setting up that email account. By the end of December 2014 she's trying to order the colchicine. Sometime around April 2015, Adam has a big deal GI bug and is very sick. Three months later, Dr. Yoder died on July 22, 2015.
{Bolded and underscored by Me, for added Ooomph! :goodpost:}

Yes, Curious. Wish that you WERE on that jury! You'd have 'em all herded in the right direction, and would give them the facts -- spoon feeding if necessary -- that they would need to see the truth! Just as you have done here! You have given us better coverage that we have had from the tweeter. Thank you.

Thanks. You may not be an expert, but you've got her diagnosed (MOO)! We see these same traits among other defendants here on Websleuths.

Unfortunately, I saw it (firsthand) in my own life: A woman who broke up my marriage and ultimately poisoned my ex-husband. That's where I first learned about borderline personality disorder! Once you know it, there is no mistaking it.

I agree, wholeheartedly, with EVERYTHING you've said here, Harmony2!

Very much so. They are really trying to come to a unanimous verdict. This is a good group, regardless of the verdict, IMO. Taking their oath and serious very seriously.

Yes I agree.

Oh my God how sad! I'm so sorry.

Thanks, Elainera. It was a long time ago, but still very sad and so unnecessary!

I think we are all grateful to these jurors for taking their roles seriously and trying so hard to reach a verdict. They've invested a great deal of time. I'm starting to think they're going to reach a verdict. :crossfingers: I think it's possible they're close to finding her guilty.

MOO, I think two witnesses did help the Defense create doubt.
(1) Dr. Mary's sister who initially contacted LE about her suspicious death testified she thinks the husband William did it.
(2) The neighbor that saw William romancing Dr. Mary's widowed sister out on the sister's porch before, I think about a month or so before, Mary was poisoned to death.

However, nothing ties to William, and evidence connects only Conley to setting up the email with the adamisGay password, to ordering and paying for the colchicine, writing the letters trying to pin it on the son, leaving her DNA on the bottle, etc., It also seems the timing suggests Conley was the most likely person to administer the poison during that day in the office.

Sorry, this was supposed to be a "Reply with Quote" to WFGodot:

Damn lucky break for Conley! WHAT is IT that they ALL DO NOT SEE!!!????? UNBELIEVABLE.
I say there is one looneytunes holdout.

This is the very scenario that caused me to coin my signature line.

The prosecution never put the poison directly in her hands, and the motive given was disturbingly shaky. Also, the Yoder/SIL testimony raised eyebrows.

After nearly 24 hours of jury deliberations, jurors delivered what might be their final note in the murder trial of Kaitlyn Conley: “We the jury will never come to a unanimous verdict.”

http://www.uticaod.com/news/20170518/conley-jury-says-they-will-never-reach-verdict

In that article, I think Micaela Parker should have made it clear that the dose of colchicine that poisoned and killed Dr. Mary Yoder was not the same dose that would be used to treat gout! (But, do we know how large a dose it was? Was it ever stated in court?)

Also, about the father having a relationship with Dr. Mary's sister, their own daughter (also a physician) never suspected her father of that before Dr. Mary was killed. Further, she even said that her mother would be happy that Dr. William Yoder had found a companion after her death.

Unlike Dr. Martin MacNeil's daughter, a physician as well, who did suspect her father of murdering her mother, the physician daughter of Dr. William and Dr. Mary never suspected her father of murdering her mother--and still doesn't.

So now, who decides whether to retry the case -- the prosecutor? And, if retried, will the judge be the same? (I guess so, unless he retires, keels over from colchicine poisoning, or otherwise is not available, to answer my own question. ???)

Yes; and possibly.

As I expected. I don't blame them (jury). As I said before, I think the defense did their job well by instilling doubt. (Not saying that I think Conley is innocent.)

Yes, we knew the jury would struggle with this case. Okay, so a do-over trial, but I don't know if there's any way prosecution can add a thing to make it obvious, with no doubt, that Conley actually administered the toxic colchicine.

Some stray thoughts...I was surprised not many witnesses came forward that could support the motive of her obsession and revengefulness, nor did many actually testify that they thought she did it. One said they didn't think she'd do it alone. Basically, it seems she came across too steady, straight-forward, and sane.
