Well, if you feel the need to judge, you should at least know what she was thinking when she made the decision to stand up there.

As I've said many times, it's very easy to make a judgement about what you think you would do, but until you are actually faced with the situation, you really don't know.

I completely understand the concept you are expressing regarding "judging" another woman's painful decisions.

That said - I do not feel that we are "judging Silda". I feel many of us - whether we have been in a similar position with our respective spouses or not - are simply "expressing" our opinions on "what we feel" regarding the Spitzer family crisis and the recent 'public' decisions made.

I doubt there is a single person posting on this thread that doesn't feel sadness & much empathy for Silda & her daughters for what they are forced to endure at this most difficult life-changing time.

You're correct, of course, that none of us truly know what we would do until or unless we were suddenly thrust into that uncomfortable situation and had to react with the whole world watching.

We all "think we know our respective value systems and are simply expressing our current opinions .. from our individual perspectives. Personally - I think that's a healthy & positive concept .. especially here on WS.

I agree with you. I don't see anyone being vicious or judgmental, so to speak. This is an "opinion" website; and we are stating our opinions.

To add: Life is all about making judgments. That's how we form our opinions and decide how to live our lives. Judgments also protect us from harm and help us in all aspects of our lives.

I don't believe for a second she is 22. I am guessing more like 28-33 range.

The Escort agency had her age listed as 24 years old. Her mother is very young looking and very attractive. So, I don't think that she is in her 30's. My guess is that she is in her mid-20's.

On one of the FOX News shows this afternoon - the anchor revealed that Larry Flynt of Hustler magazine has just offered Ashley "one million dollars" to pose nude in his (sleazy) magazine. No word yet as to whether or not the offer has been accepted.

Well - we knew the offers were coming. I just didn't realize the offer would be SO huge!

It's kind of ironic actually. Just last year he put full page ads in his Rag and The Washington post, offering the same amount to anyone who had a sexual encounter with a current member of the United States Congress or a high-ranking government official.

Other news on FOX .. Ashley (Kristin) apparently moved out of her expensive NY apt. today after the hullaballou the other building residents raised regarding all the "media people, camera crews & press vehicles" all around the building hampering traffic & all the residents. She apparently couldn't afford next month's rent anyways, so I'm glad for the neighbors that she moved out now.

I have to disagree with you as to the reason "most" would not pose. On a personal note, I had a very nice body and a very nice face when I was younger; however, I would never dream of posing nude or prostituting myself for money...even when I was desperately poor. It was how I was raised.

Hustler Publisher Larry Flynt told the AP Friday that he had e-mailed Dupre, offering her $1 million to pose nude for his magazine. He said he hadn't heard back.

"It will be something that will very tastefully done," Flynt said of the proposed photo spread, but he added that Dupre would have to appear completely naked and not just topless.

"Hustler readers don't like to compromise," he said. "They want the whole enchilada."

Flynt acknowledged he wasn't sure whether Dupre would accept, adding she is likely being approached with offers from other men's magazines, as well as book publishers and other media.

Playboy has also made Ashley an offer. Penthouse was quoted as saying not to accept any others until they have proffered their offer.

In a brief filmed piece, FOX showed the large 2 story home where Miss Ashley lived with her family in a neighborhood of million dollar homes in Wall, N.J. She resided there with her mother, brother and stepdad (who is a surgeon).

She apparently lived a life of privilege. Always had money, designer clothes and partied at the best places in NYC. She left home at 17 after smashing up the family Porsche and Daddy wouldn't buy her a new one.

Lots of other info that I'm sure will be on the cable news channels.

Ashley's first pimp, Izler (sp?), of the now defunct New York Confidential escort service, was also interviewed in the studio. He was promoting himself and "just lovin'" all the attention he was getting. He spent 2 years in prison on New York's Ryker's Island after Spitzer busted his prostitution ring. He seems quite pleased that Ashley, initially one of "his girls", brought the governor down. Says he now runs a matchmaking service on Bravo.

Yes, something's just not right with this picture. She is, pardon the uglienss here but, she is nothing but a ! And all of the air time the media is giving her! Her pictures and " story "is the lead story on every news program ! It's disgusting to me! No wonder our young people aren't quite sure where their priorities should be!

I guess sex sells, even if it's in the national and international news!
It wouldn't surprise me if Time magazine names her person of the year! I remember Monica Lewinsky gained that title, and I thought that was ridiculous then! And while Monica made some poor choices, she wasn't a prostitute!

How do this work exactly? I'm not being a smart aleck, but if you want to claim income from illegal activities in order to pay taxes, can you get popped for being honest? Or do you just get creative and say you earned $250,000.00 for "consulting"?
