Also, if James was on those tapes, why didn't they go straight to him? I think it was Gemma and Dilione on camera but when they found out who he was they conveniently left him out and the blame shifted to James.

Are we even sure this happened in James apt? If he was thrown down garbage chute, he could have been in any apt, possibly explaining why James didn't know what happened. I wonder if Jeffrey Smokes?

I was thinking about the question you posed - “WHO ARE THE GIRLS” - MomOf4 and Lawdini offer very probable answers....
but thinking of literally ‘WHO’ these girls are, nothing has been directly released as far as I know....
and I say 'directly' for this reason.... investigations, similar to what a suspicious spouse may do, can include probing (or ’snooping&#8217, which today includes social media combing, etc. and sometimes breadcrumbs are left behind (ie. think digital footprints, auto-fill search queries, etc..) that said, i have my own ( non-scientific, completely speculation, MOO ) ideas on who may have been of interest for info based on this type of trail that I was seeing pretty consistently.
(relatively new here but know better than to say much more than that when it comes to non-suspect info)

I dont see James covering for Jeffrey... Why would Jeffrey stab Joey 15 times??? Thats just odd... As of now, the best guess with Jeffrey is that he is covering up for James because he does not want anyone to know his relationship with James.... I highly doubt Jeffrey did anything... The only thing I question is Jeffrey saying he did not notice anything out of unusual when he came to pick up dog at 10 AM from james' apartment... Had the murder not taken place yet? Maybe Joey was passed out??? What did Jeffrey see? Where was the dog when he picked it up?? I doubt it was standing right at door ready to be taken out... Jeffrey had to walk in and find it.. What did he see?? Remember its a 1 bedroom... How many rooms are there? We have the family/living room... Anyone laying down anywhere??? We have the bedroom?? Was it in there??? Anyone laying there?? Kitchen??? I am telling you he knows more than what we know... He is trying to protect himself to not lose his credibility as a jeweler of stars... Needs to maintain his relationships...

Max and Larry live together in Jersey City and were high school friends from Oceanport... Dont know how you think Max would have a relationship with Jeffrey... How would Jeffrey drop James for Max ( I will let you make your judgment from here)??? Larry is protecting Max because they are boys... They are trying to put blame on James because he is an ex con... Why would James ruin what he has??? He has it made... Great apartment, money, clothes, Hamptons, Mercedes, etc...) Are you serious that this argument was over cigarettes??? The police is trying to downplay this before trial because they dont want Joey's family and friends to know there was more to this.. Heck we already know it was reported cocaine and steroids were found... You think Joeys parents want to know there was drugs found in area he was found in??? To them he is a perfect angel... My parents/family dont know what I do and would be shocked if they found out the debauchery I was involved in... Max and Jeffrey have no relationship... Zilch...Zero

I'm sorry for the Comunale's, but since when does MSM alter facts to protect the feelings of people involved in a crime?There is so much more involved in this story. Now you are insinuating something may have gone down in Jeffreys apartment?? Floor 32??? So then what? They said there was blood in the 4th floor apartment... You dont pop steroids like ecstasy pills... Therefore, people dont blow lines and starting injecting/orally taking steroids... Steroids were found because he was a model... He wants to lift and maintain his physique... Also when you do coke and mix with alcohol, you are in a talkative state of mind... Not an aggressive I want to stab you 15 times because something happened... Coke makes you more cognizant of your surroundings.. Coke helps you get more sober... Not like weed... Now another interesting thing to think about is this so called safe... Was it open??? Did Joey see something he shouldnt have seen??? Maybe Larry/Max knew combo from James and there was drugs and money in there... Maybe it was left open and Joey tried to swipe some money/drugs from it and then an argument ensued??? I still think something happened while Joey was maybe passed out... I see Larry or Max in James' bedroom while Joey and Max or Larry passed out on couches or one big couch... Larry or Max suspect Joey took something and stab him while sleeping... It was a one bedroom apartment.... Where are all these guys sleeping/passing out??? I know steroids are not a party drug. However, having steroids in one's system, adding cocaine and alcohol does cause aggression. I'll find some links to share.

Originally, I believed that something was missing. Drugs, money...something missing from the safe? They believed Joey took it and were pizzed. Which would explain them removing his pants to search for something. Stabbing him fifteen times makes no sense. But then again, drugs make people do crazy things.

What was done to Joey was in a fit of rage. IMO exacerbated by drugs and alcohol.

Gemma was so protected we didn't even know of him for the first 3 weeks. Jeffrey's car was used. I'm pretty sure he's paying for James lawyer, but really shifting all blame and suspicion on to him.

There is YouTube video of Jeffrey stating he really wanted to be a lawyer while growing up. If he pays his lawyer couldn't he control what the lawyer says?

I'm very curious to see if the can pull this frame job off, in spite of what they've already divulged. Will Pat C play along even though he saw the videos and helped nab Dilione just to make it go away??

I agree that coke and alcohol makes you talkative and friendly, but only when the person starts doing it in the beginning of the night. As the party goes on, people tend to get grouchy, paranoid, and aggressive. Basically, the more you do the more irritable and uncomfortable you can get. Cocaine also has the effect of making the user crave more and more and more. I believe this is why Joey returned to JR's apt without the girls. I don't believe these guys were doing a couple of bumps in the bathroom. I think the bar closed and they were on a major binge. It seems that these guys had the money to buy a lot of blow, not just a couple 20's. Given that the more coke a person does, the more s/he becomes paranoid, this fact makes me doubt that MG took the path train home. In that state of mind, the last place he would want to be is on a brightly lit public train. There are countless stories of celebrities who have done so much coke they couldn't leave their bedrooms (think DMX, Nikki Sixx, Anthony Kiedis, etc..). So, as with many of my fellow websleuthers, I also think MG's story about taking the train home is pure rubbish and he was more involved than was initially reported.

My kids go to the Guilded Lily (yeah...I'm old...I went to studio 54) and said some nights are more for a gay crowd than others.

Also, I don't think James was of rational state of mind to consider the consecquences that night. If what LE said is true and he was using steroids...add cocaine and alcohol and BOOM!

For the record, you are NOT old. Studio 54 was amazing. The beginnings of NYC nightlife started in that era; history shows it's peak in the 80s, downfall maybe around the mid/late 90s and a huge attempt to revamp it starting in the 2000s. Regardless, I've heard people say, today's scene, no matter how much club owners try, will never live up to what it once was. Bottom line, your perspective is just as valuable as those who regularly go to Gilded Lily in analyzing the crime

Agree about Gemma being protected... With his father being an ex-mayor of Oceanport, family wanting him still to go on vacation to England during Xmas, theres more to his involvement... I dont trust him... Look at some of his pics in court room... Kid looked scared out of his mind... Reminds me of Eddie Munster...

I completely agree... Someone must have hit him in his sleep.. Why else no signs of a struggle??? From there with his pants being off, someone or people suspected he had something in his pants and thats why they were going through it.. Money (hence the safe), drugs (hence the safe), maybe credit cards... Why take his pants off and not all of his clothes if you are trying to conceal that you killed someone??? He was hit while sleeping, pants come off, then multiple stabs when its noticed he had something on him...

I don't know why he would say he took the PATH unless he really did....because there are cameras at the station and even on the cars. There will be proof to back up what he said (or no proof to back it up, if he is lying).

It's my understanding that MG and LD lived about an hour's drive or so from NYC. That would be a long uber ride. Maybe MG took an uber or cab to the PATH station, though. If so, there might be another transaction to back up his timeline.

MG and LD have an apartment in Jersey City. Very close to the city. Taking the Path train is the most direct and easiest way. It is a short ride. Not an hour from NYC. Where the burial spot is more like an hour away.

It's their family homes. Probably didn't change their drivers license. I know when I lived in an apartment I kept my home address for a bit. Also most reports did list LD as residing in Jersey City. Also LD is technically a third. Same name as father and grandfather who own property in Oceanport area.
