Could also have been a ski mask rolled up being worn as a hat.. When pulled down covers his face/only leave eyes/mouth exposed.

Try finding a wool hat on google that looks like that .....

ETA it's that little dimple thing on top that is unusual....

ETA: notice the neckline of his shirt...

Side note- There have been NYPD cameras placed inside Spring Creek Park too. Just a FYI for anyone wondering.

His square wide jaw, the way it's set, forward like that, for some reason, that stands out to me, about his features. The lips purse down. High cheek bones. Nose may have been broken at some point, but sunken low bridge to his nose. Protruding brow. Small eyes.
Thin neck.

I am not being racist, or anything like that, to be completely clear, but if I had to guess, Nigerian like features, but that's just in a very general way.

He'd rather a wool hat then not, as OldSteve, points out, could be habit and/or practical. Stands out. The dark pants, on a hot day.

5'10

Medium build

Dark pants.

Red T Shirt.

He could've changed before he went someplace with camera's.

Something about him looks like Harry Hamlin, around the eyes.

Skillful artist that doesn't really give away ethnicity - so I'm assuming the witness couldn't tell for certain.

jmo

Wish we did have the ethnicity. If he is not from this country, his DNA might be on file in his home country. jmo

On Pix11's Facebook page there's a comment on a post about this sketch where a woman says to compare this to a sketch done of a man who attacked a woman and stripped of her pants in Brooklyn. She didn't provide any links to that case though

All this detail but no ethnicity, or even a guess ?

I'm not sure exactly how hot it was on the day she was killed but surely it was damn hot. Wool cap? Makes me wonder.

My hubs wears a wool hat to keep the sweat out of his eyes and his earbuds in......to run......I tell him he's weird...

DNA cannot tell you a specific country of origin. It doesn't work that way.

Doesn't look anything like the Vetrano sketch to me.

It might not be made of "wool." Could be some other fiber. (BTW, OJ Simpson wore a wool cap to cover his head on June 12, 1994 (a very warm day in LA) when he murdered his ex-wife and Ron Goldman. That cap did get pulled off his head, did get left at the crime scene, and did contain hairs inside that microscopically matched the characteristics of his hair.)
