This is so sad. I wonder why she murdered that little boy. I hope the other kids will be safe.

Oh no! Bless his little heart, how awful.
What on earth made her do this? Reading reports of bi polar/ mental illness, she was quick enough to think about how to try and cover her tracks! Fake a kind napping, and leave his little body outside in the cold!
If she was mentally ill, why was she left alone with the children? Reports saying the home was a hazard, sounds like an awful place for the children.
I wonder if the children were placed there by children's services or if it was just a family arrangement?
Either way, checks should have been made to ensure the safety of those children!

I pray those children didn't witness anything, how terrible for them too,
Right before christmas, my own children are so excited, they are on countdown till Santa arrives, little Kenneth should be too, singing carols,and watching christmas movies. It's supposed to be the best time of the year, magical for all children full of joy.

I just don't understand why she would intentionally murder him. That's why I thought it was an accident. Like maybe hit him too hard but you can't accidentally strangle some one.

I wonder if it was her father or uncle that was arrested for that sex crime against a child? If so, that might answer some questions about how she became this angry and messed up herself?

I looked up the mortgage to the house at 994 Thatcher park rd. and the names listed are Brenda Vanalstyne and Kenneth Vanalstyne however the Brenda has a court case that looks like a Divorce action against a William Vanalstyne. Also the mother of Kenneth White is going by the name Christine Rivera on facebook but it appears that her maiden name is also Vanalstyne, It's hard to tell who all is married to whom........ They all look Rather "Sketchy" IMHO.

Thank you for this. I wish the adults in this gosh awful situation would realize the little ones don't need to hear any of this, be around any media, need to be shielded from the cameras, and kept from the details of what their own cousin did that day!

The core idea of protecting the children may just not be in the repertoire. :cow: (but it was there on the video for you to see - those precious little children cowering, trying to become invisible on that sofa :notgood: Maybe I'm crazy but that was plain as day and NOT worth whatever sympathy points or message anyone was trying to gain or get across FCOL!!!) :cow: :moo: ullhair: :gaah:

This is about the darling, precious, beloved, murdered boy who isn't ever coming back. This is about Little Kenneth.

Thank you for the information. A livestream broadcast with Craig Smith reporting from near the home, the night they found Kenneth White's poor little body buried under snow in a culvert just tens of feet away from his home. He reported that this man shared a last name but was not related. So, I took it to be the aunt's mate who we now know is also killers dad. What I wonder is that if she had the presence of mind to kill and hide a body so near to the home and make up a story about masked men, did she also then plan to do something else later? Perhaps LE keeping her and the kids at the station, their presence and quick warrant for the house, may have foiled her plans.

For the sake of information, first cousins are allowed to marry in the state of New York. Not saying this is the case in this family, but putting it out there.

(Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani got an annulment from his first wife on the basis that she was a closer cousin than they believed when they got married.)

So many questions on this. Do you have a link showing a.) aunt's maiden name b.) common law husband taking her maiden name (which if true, is the first I've ever heard of such a thing but I suppose it happens?) and c.) which one is actually her husband, Kenneth or William?

I know as of yesterday, bio-mom's FB name was Rivera. Now it's White showing Van Alstyne as her maiden name.

All this family name mess aside, if that house was as dangerous as Craig Apple says it was (and I have no reason to disbelieve him) I suspect there might be more charges in this case.
