based upon JM's "testimony" or "statements" to them, JM advised Lyle after the escape what happened, incl "possible murder plot."

So...after watching all these interviews...I'm still unclear about one thing: did Joyce Mitchell alert her husband about the plot BEFORE the escape or AFTER she was in custody? If it had been BEFORE the escape, certainly he would have gone to the authorities.

I haven't read through this whole thread, so my apologies if this has already been floated, but I think, MOO, that these two never intended to meet up with JM or kill her husband. Her "not showing up at the manhole cover" was a non-issue for them. I think they used her for what they needed, but always had someone else, on the outside for help once free. Money, transportation, food, clothes, etc. Joyce was a just a another tool.

They were each to have a ride and were to drive off separately. Matt had Tillie and Sweat had who knows who. Matt would have killed Tillie and dumped the car in water with her in it after he got to a location where he wanted to be. Tillie didn't show but they both still had a ride out of there and Tillie was never informed about the second car. Plan A, Plan B ?

I could see how the discussion probably went.

(purposely leaving out the part about her being the one that handed them hacksaw blades, having sex with them in the work room, and the plan involved murdering Lyle specifically).

My thoughts about whether Matt and Sweat are together come down to a couple of basic things. Did they get stuck hiding out someplace early on because of injury or being surrounded? If yes, they're probably still together.

If no, then my train of thought moves on to - who is the master manipulator here? Matt IMO. So would he not use every resource available to him, namely - Sweat? He would, IMO, use Sweat for anything and everything possible, then part ways, either killing him if necessary or leaving him behind if not. But I think he'd use him for anything he could first. And anything Sweat has to offer would probably be located down in the Binghamton area, IMO. I've never heard of him living or doing time anywhere else anyhow. So if Sweat had nothing to offer from the get-go, then probably they parted ways very early on, maybe upon leaving the manhole. Otherwise, I'd say focus more downstate.

On a completely different subject, there's no reason to think either man had any link to native american heritage or marriage, right? Because Israel Keyes was able to cross borders through reservations since he had been married to a part native and was therefor exempt from certain things like that.

And while speaking of Izzy, I believe it was cpaul who I was knocking the subject back and forth with in the first thread - he said that these guys would have needed to have put a cache of cash and weapons or something similar, or someone would hav ehad to, before they broke out in order for them not to be relying on criminal activity to sustain themselves now, and I replied that Izzy's Constable cabin was 39 miles west from Dannemora and that IK had made a habt of burying kill kits/ caches aroudn and about and of the number of them he'd confessed to stashing, I believe some are still unfound to this day. IIRC. Since he had ties to the military and tended to stash his stuff in or near military properties, usually bordering state land, and Matt had supposed military ties, this had gotten me to thinking about whether any of IK's stashes might be known to ANYONE else somehow... but I doubt Matt ever bumped into IK...

well that was a lot of rambling, sorry, this is what happens when there's no new news...

Also, for Tillie's character, I was thinking of Shirley Knight, perhaps reprising her role as Bea in Grandma's Boy.

I posted prior these 2 could be deceased in that thick, dense area. No scent for the dogs unless they are using cadaver dogs and heat sensors would be of no use as well. (I don't mean "Exempt" but I don't have a link right now and I"ve not researched IK as heavily in a long time now as I had in 2013, but there was something about having his native ID that let him pass freely back and forth thru the reservations or something. Can't quite recall offhand. Just wanted to make sure neither of these guys had anything like that going on.)

Excellent Points to ponder GGE. It has crossed my mind if one of these guys became a liablity it would be Sweat. Bad back (supposedly) Matt is a psychopath and would likely off him in a blink. One or both are laying low, very low somewhere.
