From Epiphany's link:

Ahem..

"The sexual relationship took place at the tailor shop in the Clinton Correctional Facility, the only known place the two were together, the source said."

With 1 CO supervising the shift who didn't observe it, or looked the other way?

Where's this, behind the sewing machines, under the tables, the closet or were they able to leave the area?

I don't doubt that she engaged in sexual relations with Matt, BTW. But if going on since 2013, and it looks that way to me>what's with the COs?

She's into sex with Matt. Got it. Don't doubt it. He's a psychopath using her. Check.

Going on for one year, two or more. What's going on in there?

No apples, pls.

N.Y. prison worker's anniversary present to husband: Painting of children done by now-escaped killer, DA says. http://cnn.it/1dJMpry

From your link:

Killer's ties to Mexico
Even farther afield is Mexico, a possibility that Cuomo mentioned over the weekend.

The country, about 2,000 miles away, features in Matt's past.

In 1997, he murdered a man near Buffalo, New York, and then fled to Mexico, where he killed another man before being captured.

He had "Mexico Forever" tattooed on his back, police say.

CNN just reporting Matt had given Tillie a painting. Could have swore I heard of her Children (didn't know she had more than one?) Tillie in turn gave it to Lyle for an Anniversary gift! Lordy!!!! So she would have to have given Matt a picture for him to paint it. I cant wrap my head around this woman.

I guess it's a cheap but personal gift. :laughcry:
A psycho's work(who can draw well) is now placed in your home. :notgood:

I've been thinking that it would never have been a good idea to use Tillie.
Her car and plates could have been quickly searched for and their whereabouts assimilated.
The stupidity of that woman.

They punched out or somehow broke through a brick wall. Maybe the gloves helped with that. I found various types of "speed gloves."

yup. was thinking exactly that scenario.

I don't believe husband Lyle was totally unaware of what was going on. He worked right there and she gave him a gift drawn by one of the inmates. (Please don't tell me he had paint.)

I'm sorry if anyone in Canada took offense. The prison is just an 8 1/2 hour walk as the crow flies from the border. There's a small residential area not far from there. A car could have been waiting for them or something. A week after the escape, LE was still searching the immediate area and Vermont - across Lake Champlain. It seems to me Quebec was an easier destination to get to, especially if they just wanted to get out of New York.

IMO did "Miss Tillie" leave her house that night - say about 2:30 in the morning and had seen the manhole cover already open then had the panic attack. She then realized she was no longer part of the plan.:scared:

I know some peeps in Dannemora, believe me, she's safer in :jail:. JMO

Yeah, I searched yesterday and found about 100 links that all quote the same original police statement, that the "mexico forever" tattoo was on his back, and only ONE That says it was on his shoulder. I concede that the information we have to go on at this time is overwhelmingly that it is on his back, according to MSM.

SBM - at this point it's the only place she is even halfway safe, IMO.

Out she is risking the wrath of the community, as well as of the perps themselves because now she's ratted, not to mention her husband who she cheated on with convicted murderers, plotted to have killed, and REGIFTED to!

Oh the humanity!! :gaah:

(ETA: I bet LE isn't too pleased with her right now either, inside OR out!)

If they escaped shortly after the 11 PM roll-call, they could have probably gotten out of the prison within an hour, and then had 5 1/2 hours of driving time before their absence was even noted (and they'd already spent enough time out of their cells at night to be confident of this). So, they'd be out of state by time they were missed, IF Tillie had picked them up (and they hadn't wasted time offing her husband). Then it would have taken LE a little while to figure out the Tillie connection and put out an APB on her car. By that time, they'd have switched license plates and probably have reached their destination. If they really HAD planned to hide out in Vermont (someplace requiring a 4 wheel drive -- so sounded like a specific place they had in mind) -- it would have been remote, and they could have parked the car behind the cabin or whatever so not easily noticed. Perhaps part of the plan was for Tillie to stock up on provisions and TP and stuff and have that in the car when she picked them up, so they could stay holed up in that cabin for a month or more.

Their plan to use Tillie (whom they'd groomed for 2 years) wasn't really a bad plan. The plan to kill Lyle was. It was one thing for Tillie to ride off into the sunset with her two bad boys and be on the run for the rest of her life (which would have probably been short). It was another thing for her to have the blood of her husband on her hands.

A couple of random thoughts this morning - the reason we dont' know for sure if they had internet in there is because other inmates reported that the two had contraband cell phones in jail, despite Tillie saying that if they DID, they didn't come from her, and not being able to confirm it. But I don't know that they were able to actually use internet while in prison without those.

And, I had forgotten that Chris Cuomo even worked at CNN, I haven' seen him at all since this started until this morning. I wouldn't think there would be a "conflict of interest" of him reporting on this case just because of being the brother of Andrew Cuomo. Poor Mario is probably twisting in his grave over all of this. I just heard on CNN that they just got done "converting all cells on the honor block back to regular cells".

What modifications did the cells on that block have, that required being converted back to "regular" cells?

The wording from the DA made it clear that this isn't just a conversion in classification and privileges.

PS - local TWCNews just was saying that the Tioga county sheriff's office is talking about getting tasers since they don't have them yet. Tioga county borders Broome county (Tarsia was a Broome county sheriff, Binghamton is in Broome county. The counties are kissing cousins, many/most people who live in one work in the other or shop in the other or whatever).

Just found that interesting and a tad disturbing considering.

Edited to add: I say this because they said on tv that there isn't funding in the budget o buy them or pay for training yet we can come up with $1M per day for LE within NY state if we REALLY need to. PER DAY.

Well, for one thing, they were apparently permitted to have TVs in their cells. Remember, that was the reason the govt took the keys to the catwalk away from the guards -- they guys were playing their music and TVs too loud after lights out, so the guards were going back to the catwalk and cutting the electric to that area of cells. And then the prisoners complained and the powers that be took THEIR side!

And then they were also permitted to paint their cells whatever color they wanted.

Yeah, those are good examples of priviliges. I was wondering what they had to do to convert the cells physically back to "normal cells". Because right now they are not "normal cells". I don't for one second think this means stripping the custom paint. JMO.
