Yes, many things just don't seem normal to me. The DA's office being involved is just one of them, others you guys have already mentioned - no publicity, no friends surfacing other than MMQC, even after posts were made on the Staten Island site and IIRC the college alumni Facebook page too. Then there's the fact that the MP report was taken down from namus shortly after we started getting involved in her case. A family member being told not to contact bf/f. Something just seems off to me.

Anna Scivetti went missing from Staten Island in the 90s after an argument with her boyfriend. The cases are similar but the way they were handled couldn't be more opposite. Anna's boyfriend has been named everywhere. He's had reporters in his face. There are lots of news articles which clearly name him as a suspect.

The 20-something difference in era could be a factor, so could the fact that Anna's boyfriend was married and had a criminal record. Perhaps Anna's family and friends are more persistent and the media is putting pressure on LE. LE seems very eager to find Anna. Sylvia, not so much,imo, and I'm not sure why.

Re: the missing person report being taken down from Namus-that bothered me, too, until I thought about so many of the other cases that we've seen here; Are there many cases on Namus where the police report is included? And who added it to Sylvia's Namus page in the first place? Did Sylvia's brother provide it, or did the 122 precinct?

We can't say for certain who put the report there, but I assumed LE did because Ethel Atwell also has documents there and was also from SI. Ethels is actually many pages of reports, witness statements, etc and wasn't taken down, it's still there. Or at least last time I looked it was.

I saw that Richard Biegenwald's mother's yard at her former Staten Island house was recently dug up; a contractor working there had seen some bones, which is what precipitated the dig. Turns out that they appear to be animal bones.

Everyone seems to have drifted away from her thread, including her brother and her best friend. It must be really difficult for them to come here and read what we have discussed. But what about everyone else who knew her? I can't believe that nobody else was curious about her.

I am actually appalled that no one, other than her brother and best friend, have commented here; It upsets me that nobody who knew her, cares about finding her. She has other relatives (at least she does on her father's side), and she must have had friends other than MMQC-where the heck are they?

Never mind all of the above, she, the beautiful Sylvia Lwowski is missing. She is missing for over 40 years. It is extraordinary considering historical excavations. She qualifies as historic!!!

You know what Jmoose? I have never tracked and loved someone I did not know like Sylvia Lwowski... I SO like and love that you are here on this thread forever. I'll track Sylvia with you forever.
