Found Deceased OH - Akil Hughes, 21, went for a walk, Centerville, 25 Aug 2021

The Centerville Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing adult. Akil Hughes, B/M, 21 years old, 5'11", 150 lbs. was last seen on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at approximately 10:00 am when he left his residence on Penridge Dr. to take a walk.

The last known contact was a text message that morning that Akil sent at approximately 10:56 am since that time there has been no known contact with family, friends or his employer. No clothing description is available.

He was found deceased. RIP, Akil. Thoughts and prayers to his loved ones.

UPDATE: It is with much regret that we must announce that the body of Akil Hughes was found by searchers this morning, inside the Sugarceeek Metro Park. Investigators from Five Rivers Metro Parks and the Greene County Coroner's Office will be handling the death investigation.

Investigators say they do not suspect any foul play related to his death this time.
