According to the prosecution, there was a significant amout of people who suspected she was pregnant.

From the Court TV segment.

Uhm yeah. Have you seen her prom photo???

I don't think she necessarily looks like she's pregnant in the prom photo

If you go to the Court TV website, there is a 20 minute video with Vinnie Politan and 3 defense attorneys discussing this case.

One of her doctors begged her not to kill this child according to what Vinnie Politan said.

The 3 defense attorneys they are speaking with say it is going to be an uphill battle for Skylar.

I really, REALLY want to know what this doctor told Skylar.

Did this doctor lecture? Did this doctor give give information on Safe Haven laws? Tell her where her baby could be dropped off without penalty? Did she give her information on adoption?

I want to know what information this doctor gave this young lady. Because that right there might be the difference.

I think she looks AMAZING for nine months pregnant... BUT if my 17 year old daughter started gaining weight in just her stomach, I’d absolutely question her.

It will be interesting to hear what her doctors discussed with her and what she said. Jmo

I am watching the PC that the DA gave 2 years ago and he said that he could not get into what Skylar knew or didn't know in regards to other options.

Despite what the doctor told her about her options, she knew right from wrong. And killing a baby is clearly wrong.

WARREN COUNTY —
A jury in one of Warren County’s most anticipated trials in recent memory faces an important question: Was Brooke Skylar Richardson’s baby stillborn, or was she killed?

Richardson’s trial, which is getting national attention, is set to begin with jury selection on Tuesday in Warren County Common Pleas Court.

snip
The trial begins with jury selection from a pool of 70 prospective jurors and is scheduled to last three weeks. Richardson has been free on bond since arraignment on the indictment in August 2017.

Stillborn or alive? That’s the key issue in the upcoming Carlisle buried baby trial

The jury will see both interrogation videos with Skylar.

  • #293
And from what the Journal News article said, it appears her defense is going to be that Annabelle was born stillborn brought on by eating disorder.

FORMER CHEERLEADER ON TRIAL FOR KILLING NEWBORN DAUGHTER
August 30, 2019
[...]
Jury selection will begin Tuesday, Sept. 3.

THE TIMELINE
2017

April 26: Dr. William Andrew informs Richardson she is in the late stages of pregnancy.

May 4*: Richardson attends her high school prom. Friends and family say they had no idea she was pregnant.

May 6*: Richardson’s baby, “Annabelle,” buried in the backyard. Exact date unknown and listed by the court as sometime in “early May.”

July 12: Richardson tells Dr. Casey Boyce she had got into labor, delivered a stillborn baby, and buried the remains in her backyard. Dr. Andrew and Dr. Boyce call the Carlisle Police Department.

July 14: Warren County Sherriff’s Office announces skeletal remains were found at the Richardson home.

July 20: Anthropologist Elizabeth Murray examines the remains at the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office and determines the bones are “charred.” Richardson is arrested and charged with one count of reckless homicide.

August 4: Richardson indicted by a grand jury on charges of aggravated murder, involuntary manslaughter, endangering a child, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.

August 7: Richardson arraigned and posts bond. She is released to house arrested on $50,000 bond. Her mother, Kimberly Richardson, is ordered to surrender her passport.

August 17: Murray examines the remains a second time and recants her original opinion the bones were burned.

2018
March 1: Judge denies defense motion for change of venue.

April 16: Defense makes motion to lift Richardson’s house arrest restriction after her 19th birthday.

April 23: Judge agrees to adjust restrictions. Richardson is placed on a curfew from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Her GPS monitoring, random drug tests and unannounced home visits will continue.

October 22: Ohio Court of Appeals rules (1) Richardson’s physician patient privilege does not apply to communications between Dr. Andrew, his staff and the medical records relating to the April 26, 2017, appointment; (2) privilege does not apply to Richardson’s reaction to learning she was pregnant at the April 26, 2017, appointment.

2019
July 3: Defense files motion to have separate trials on the charges against Richardson.

July 12: Judge orders return of Kimberly Richardson’s passport after Defense’s motion.

July 26: Court denies Defense motion to sever the charges because there is one sequence of events with one victim and one criminal act in a short period of time.

I doubt it, newborns skulls are extremely difficult to fracture because they aren't ossified or fused yet, otherwise babies would suffer skull fractures in the birth canal during delivery. As a nurse I've seen a baby slip out of the ob/gyn's hands at delivery and fall head first on the tile floor with no fracture as well as a 4 month old who fell out of a bouncer from a bar height counter headfirst on a hardwood floor and was just fine.

A newborn baby's skull is extremely vulnerable. I've addressed this a number of times in this thread. Babies can suffer skull fractures as a result of a prolonged or difficult delivery. Skull fracture at birth is one of the causes of cerebal palsy.

I am not claiming that this is evidence of her innocence but nor is the presence of skull fracture unequivocal evidence of guilt. There are a number of ways that baby could have suffered skull fractures. I trust that the prosecution have further evidence that is not in the public domain, however I will wait to hear it.
