Do you have links to the clips you saw that indicate to you the Reid technique was used?

I haven't seen any of the second interview.

She was determined to be about 32 weeks pregnant. That was an estimate. That would be 8 months pregnant. That was in April. See gave birth on May 7. Sounds like a full term birth to me.

A few of the clips from the second interview were shown in the defense opening statements.

After ACA and adult children up to age 26 allowed to remain on parents policy, privacy of the adult child became a big issue in my state, and EOB's for children over 18 are not shared with the parents (i.e., policy holder).

I'm not sure about Ohio but several states now have similar laws.

Also, since BSR gave birth less than 2 weeks after doctor visit, I wonder if insurance claim even processed by that time.

Privacy Protection in Billing and Health Insurance Communications

The company I work for has clinics in almost every state. When a minor turns 18 they immediately become their own guarantor, and the EOB, statement, and bill go directly to them. Even if they are still on a parent’s insurance.

We certainly got a statement for my daughter.
If she is over 18 or an emancipated minor under 18 they should be sending it to her directly.

This applies to all states:

Defining and Determining Guarantor
• Guarantor Information is responsible party information. A Guarantor (or
responsible party) is the person held accountable for the patient’s bill.
• The guarantor is always the patient, unless the patient is a minor or an incapacitated adult.
• The guarantor is not the insurance subscriber, the husband, or the head of household.
• A patient presenting for care that is 18 years of age or older is always the guarantor for bills relating to their care except an incapacitated adult.
• College students 18 years of age or older are always the guarantor for services they receive.
• The guarantor for a minor child (a child that is under 18 years of age except for an emancipated minor) is the parent that presents the child for care at the time of the initial visit.
NOTE: If the parent presenting child brings divorce decree stating other parent is financially responsible for the child’s medical bills, guarantor is changed to the parent designated in the divorce decree.
• The “other parent” is not the guarantor.
• An emancipated minor is the guarantor for services they receive.

DBM, because I'm going through the thread, there are two media articles that are different. One media article says the ultrasound was done, one media article says it was not done. I'll have to continue through the thread to see if we finally figured it out. Carry on

Here’s a couple of more articles from when Dr Andrew testified that he gave BSR an ultrasound in his office.

BBM

"She said, 'I can’t have a baby. I’m going to college in September,'” Dr. Andrew testified.

Dr. Andrew said he showed Richardson an ultrasound and the baby’s heart was beating. He discussed options with Richardson and told her she needed to start prenatal care immediately.

Doctor testifies about Skylar Richardson's reaction to pregnancy

Andrew said he did an ultrasound to confirm she was pregnant. He showed her heartbeat because it’s helpful to do this with a patient who is having trouble accepting that they are pregnant, he said. Andrew said the ultrasound, although not formal or extensive, did not show anything abnormal.

Just a clarification. The second interview happened because dr. Murray told LE the bones appeared after the first interview. Moo. That is why the police asked for the second interview, and went back to the scene to collect more of the excavation because they were headed in a different direction.

After the first interview, they did a press release (per defense opening,
Which has not come into evidence I don't believe but I have no reason to doubt) and said that the baby was stillborn until they got the notification from Doctor Murray about the bones being charred.

It was way down the line that Doctor Murray did a retraction and dr. Latham supported such.

Moo

I still can't believe that the parents sent her in for the second interview without a lawyer!

Maybe they tried to talk her into getting a lawyer but she did not want to.

They were done during opening statements, and the defense buttressed it and showed Clips for each of those statements, so I would consider it evidence.

We expect the second interview to be shown this week. From which the clips were taken.

Opening statements can't be used as evidence per the judge.

Not sure, but believe the mother is on the prosecution witness list. I've been waiting to see what this woman is really all about. You would think the defense would be calling her to testify not the other way around?

They said on CourtTV the other day that Kim Richardson is on the “state’s witness list”. She’s been sitting outside the courtroom every day in the hallway.

I was shocked that NO ONE asked her what her plan was had the baby come out with healthy lungs and screaming! How would she have covered up or dealt with in the middle of the night??
I know pretty convenient it happened in the middle of the night what if it would have happened in the daytime. she lucked out on that one. did anyone hear of the puncture wound on the skull when she was talking about the autopsy. could she have tried to induce labor or break her water just a thought.

It's very possible the insurance claim had not yet been processed but IF it was AND the bill was directly addressed to BSR, I don't see her controlling mama just handing the mail to her without at least eyeballing it. BSR lived with her parents and they likely paid all bills. Jmo

Looking forward to more court coverage today!

I don't recall that during Dr. Latham's testimony. What I do remember(and now just watched on court tv) is that she said all the alterations, fractures and punctures, to the bones were postmortem.

She is, that is why she is not in the courtroom

Looks like a couple short hearings for other defendants in Judge Ods's courtroom before the trial begins today.

Judge Oda just called the Richardson case. Most, including Skylar in the hallway. Folks now rushing in.
@journalnews

Jury now in the courtroom. Former Lt. John Faine now to the stand. He will set up the second interrogation tape, which the defense says led to a false confession
@journalnews
Faine say she retrieved Richardson's cell phone for her father after the first interview in July 2017.

At the same time, police and Warren County Coroner's Office were searching the Richardson's backyard in Carlisle for the baby's remains. Richardson was brought to the scene and pointed out the burial location.

I wondered the same exact thing that she has lied and hid things before like her eating disorder
idek

I just started following this case. I listened to opening arguments found on a news site.

Is this being live streamed, and is there an archive where I can view prior days and police interrogations?

Btw, it drives me mad hearing them refer to the baby as “it.” It almost brings me to tears.

Richardson's tablet was also taken by Faine from her bedroom. She said she may have done some searches on her phone or tablet about getting rid of a baby
@journalnews

The furniture in Richardson's bedroom had been rearranged between July 14 and July 24, Faine says. Maybe covering a blood says, prosecution is saying.
@journalnews

Jury see pictures of the to furniture arrangements in Richardson's bedroom. n the July 14 photo, the carpeting that was cut with what prosecutors thought was a blood stain is visible
@journalnews

The Richardson residence was searched a second time on July 20, after Faine received info that the bones may have been burned, "and we were missing some bones"

A second interview of Richardson on July 20 at the Carlisle Police Department. Faine and Warren County Sheriff's Detective Brandi Carter. Richardson was again read her rights.
@journalnews

Video and audio is the evidence, not the transcripts, Oda tells the jury while they are looking a the transcript of the second interview that will be played now.
