Me either. But I do think she is guilty.

Ditto. I'm convinced she planned to make sure that baby didn't survive. I believe she suffocated it. I believe she had zero feeling for the child and was relieved when she shed the baby and discarded her naked in a pit.

But I don't think there's probably enough to prove murder. She's lucky. The body was found too late.

I can’t ever imagine where she picked up this history of eating disorder(s) and as mentioned above she was openly discussing with her mother the continued use of an over the counter laxative as part of her “body plan”.

The entire conversation is completely inappropriate and puts on full display a toxic enmeshed mother/daughter relationship that has been out of control for awhile.

Dad doesn’t come off as so disordered in tangible details, but it’s there just the same & it has to be to be part of this Triad. No one accidentally and/or unknowingly becomes a principle point in this kind of family dynamic.

I’d imagine he’s been checked out in avoidance land for quite awhile and finally had to be present due to the severity of the circumstances.

100%. It's one of the sickest relationships I've seen in a while.

I recall that laxatives (Dulcolax) were noted by police during search of BSR bedroom. I wouldn't be surprised if allowing laxatives was a compromise by parents as long as BSR would stop purging. (Maybe mom also uses laxatives).

MOO

I don't know. To me it feels like the mom was all out coercing her daughter to be eating disordered. Everything she did and said to her daughter was 100% opposite of what family is told to say or do with regard to a loved one with an waive disorder. She was cheering on her dangerous behavior.

So she knew.

It doesn't quite surprise me she thought she was pregnant. Also, I think this is why she was described as being very, very nervous by the ob-gyn assistant.

I never really thought she did tamper with anything

Hiding a corpse would be tampering if she committed manslaughter or murder.

I think she's going to walk. If they can't get her on tampering they can't get her on abuse of a corpse. That was a strong charge I felt. I'm now thinking she's going to walk, totally.

And tampering would be burying to hide 1, 2 or 3. So what element wasn't proved?

Why would a male doctor make somebody sick but be the only choice? There's more than one choice when it comes to doctors, every time.

I'm telling you I think this could've been all part of some sick thing with the mother to punish the daughter for being sexually active or gaining weight. It's a leap but what I've seen from the mother daughter dynamic has left me cold. It's creepy.

I'm utterly gobsmacked by the Kim and Skylar texts. Talk about pathology laid bare. I'm glad Kim is being exposed as a 🤬🤬🤬 mom but she seems too up herself (remembering in one of the police station tapes Kim said of herself 'I've done everything right') to perceive it.

I disagree that BSR was not manipulative in her relationships.

She never had the pelvic exam (refused) - and never intended to.

She manipulated doctor to give her script because she needed it to avoid her mom questioning her.

She manipulated mom with the script-- her ammunition to get mom to stop questioning her.

Even after mom received email from clinic stating "pt [patient] pregnant," she convinced her it was a mistake!

And Brandon had to have been the recipient of 5 months of major love bombing and manipulation not to question anything about BSR. I bet his mom was one of the mother's that questioned her son about BSR looking pregnant!

I thought BSR looked like a zombie during Brandon's testimony, no emotion, nothing....

MOO

We're just gonna have to disagree on an overall interpretation of Skylar's behavior.

On this specific sequence relating to the BC, though:

1. I agree she likely didn't intend to have a pelvic exam. Before the appt, she googled what to expect would happen at the OB/GYN, and in another search, what happens when you're pregnant and go to a OB/GYN.

She told her mother she didn't want to go to the appt, and told her over and over and over she was scared. I think that was absolutely the truth. Maybe that was the best Skylar could do to reach out to her mother for help. It was Kim who connected Skylar's fear to the pelvic exam. (Don't see as manipulative).

2. I don't see how asking the DR for BC pills was manipulative. She may have held out hope she really wasn't pregnant, but in any case, her mother had ordered her to get BC pills. She couldn't walk out without the pills.

3. Nah, definitely don't see the pills as "ammunition" she used against/to manipulate her mother.

She simply plain vanilla flat out lied to her mother about the pills.

It's her mother's response to the communication about the pills & pregnancy that is twisted. She had to have invaded Skylar's privacy to have accessed that info. It wasn't sent to Kim. It was sent to Skylar.

IMO, if (and that's an IF) Kim was convinced by Skylar that Skylar wasn't really pregnant, it was either because Kim was in denial (not likely, in my reading of her), or because Kim genuinely couldn't fathom the possibility that even though she had " done everything right," Skylar hadn't been kept in fully in line.

More text messages between #SkylarRichardson and her mom in the days after she gave birth. Lots of talk about her mom being happy she is losing weight so SR can rock her clothes @Local12

According to BMI standards 90 pounds is underweight for 61 inches

Wow! That doesn't seem right. I'm 5'4 1/2 -and 132 is my top weight.

Maybe bones matter? My mom and I are small boned.

I wonder how the prosecution's cross examination is going to go and if they have any suprising evidence or witnesses?
