Judge Oda is telling the jury her father is testimony is of general good character. But the jury is not to consider it to garner sympathy for Skylar, he says.

The defense brought up that the prosecution will be attacking her character, and the judge said that her character is now in play or something like that.

Rittgers also points out the prosecution is also permitted ti attack Skyar's character

They don't have to have a smoking gun. Her own words and texts and the fact that she did not want anyone to know about her pregnancy plus the fact that she deleted a lot of texts and photos shows to me that she is guilty of what she is being charged with. jmo

I understand that others may come to a different conclusion. However, her changing story plus no proof the baby was born alive is very problematic to me. I've been in a jury room before for a much less significant case (a DUI) and the lengths that my fellow jurors went to FIND reasonable doubt astounded me. It's from that lens that I feel the state hasn't proven their burden. As gitana (I think) said before, there are just way too many coincidences and zebras that would have to be present for me to believe that baby wasn't alive when she was born, but I think the jury will be sympathetic and believe the defenses reasonable doubts.

she is on video saying that the baby was alive for 5 minutes, crying etc. that is not a dead baby or stillborn baby.

She even asked if she was going to go to prison for murder, if she was in trouble etc.

And then this text from BSR to mom
after the doctor appointment.
So Skylar didn’t text her mother for 9 days? Or are irrelevant texts not shown?

@journalnews

Honestly, I don't think that second interview is very compelling for the prosecution. She parrots back what the investigators are asking her. It may be the truth - again, I believe the baby was born alive - but I don't think that's going to go very far with the jury as evidence. This is all just MOO and speculation about what the jury will do - not necessarily what I believe actually happened.

Skylar's whole defense is she gave birth to a stillborn baby.

By her own words, we know that not to be true.

what the jury decides, who knows but I believe that there is evidence to find her guilty on all the charges she is charged with except charge number 4. jmo

I hope in cross the prosecution can remind the jury that Annabelle is the victim in this case.

I completely understand your position. And, I only disagree with how I think the jury will interpret the evidence.

I am must be horrible, I just hate calling her Annabelle. I believe that name was only given to her after the fact that she got caught. Not once, in the first interview , did she say Annabelle. I just do not want to give Skylar or her defense team the satisfaction. That baby is being held by Jesus now.

she is also on video saying the baby was never alive.... it will be up to each juror o decide which to believe.

Ohhhh! This is a great cross examination of Dad Richardson. I wondered how they were going to handle this - I love it.

Hopefully, the jury will remember she was the toilet for 2ish minutes.

perhaps... but how certain can she be unless she was watching a clock? I can’t even remember what time I bathed the dogs last night, or how long it took.

Well, i am thinking bathing dogs and giving birth to a baby that is now dead and buried in the backyard has a little more significance for her.

The defense is arguing that prenatal care does not pertain to aggravated murder, child endangerment etc.
