Bet he didn't call right after he killed her.
She had probably been gone for quite a few hours before he called.
LE knew the who, wonder if the figured out the why yet?
IMO
I thought the same thing. He had some sort of plan and was timing "the right time" to make that call. But, I'm thinking it couldn't have been too long with kids in the house. Although... we've seen this before. Like the parents who decapitated 2 kids and made the others go look at them as a warning. smh at some people.

Makes me wonder what he reason was. Was she no longer "very, very pretty" to him? Was he mentally abusive to her?

Haven't found any priors for him.
Maybe not looking in the right places ?
Or, maybe not physically abusive where she had to call the cops, but just verbal, emotionally, etc.

Sick, sick, horrid and selfish man.
Ashley was a gorgeous lady.

The damage done to those poor girls is immeasurable.
Omo.

I would not be surprised if we learn he was having an affair(s)

Didn't one of the articles say he was the youth pastor at their church? I can't find it now so I guess JMO.

Of course the husband is a pastor, or was.

I KNEW IT! Been waiting for this! Thank goodness it was quick.
Yep, I never entertained any other thought. I knew how this was going to end., as soon as I read the first reports. My heart is with the children who have lost their mother and now their father as well, and may she rest in peace. May justice come swiftly.

I have been here long enough that I am not surprised. I've seen that movie before too.

I finally learned to accept it after the Tepe case: if a woman is murdered, it's most likely her lover, current or former.
Sadly, far too often.

We’ve seen this episode of Dateline before.

How devastating. Just like that, both parents of those little girls …gone. Their worlds shattered into a million pieces. For the victim, for her life to be taken by the man that is supposed to protect her, the one she should trust no matter what. Horrifying.

When someone pointed out yesterday that AF changed her FB profile pic on Valentines Day to them together (I thought the photo was lovely), I immediately thought he has an affair partner and who knows what he told them about the state of his marriage. He felt exposed. So, he ends her life and comes up with this absolutely non- believable hog wash story about a home invasion while he likely has GSR all over his person. Who knows the motive. That’s just my ramblings.

IMO

ETA correct link

Her husband, Caleb, a former music pastor and worship leader at their church, and their two daughters were home at the time of the shooting but were not injured.

I found a video on FB about an hour ago from his time as a youth pastor at Free Church in Spartanburg SC. But they’ve already scrubbed it from their page. Cancelled, as they say.

So in a nutshell.... he didn't then shoot his daughters and then himself. Thank goodness for 2 small favors (the girls).

No shocker with this one. Suspicions well and truly deserved with this. Poor kids though :(

Hopefully they'll release the 911 call soon since they've made an arrest.

Of course the husband is a pastor, or was.
That a pastor murders his wife while she's sleeping (and especially if there's an affair also), makes this eerily similar to a case that happened in Sweden in January 2004, although in that case the pastor had made the children's nanny/his mistress to shoot the wife. Why do the men believe that they can get away with these killings?

I know the answer to this rhetorical question, but who would be stupid enough to think they could pull off a murder like this and get away with it? This story never, for even a minute, passed the sniff test for almost any of us here, so you know LE were locked in from the get go. JMO

Caleb? The husband of a "very, very pretty wife"?
