I immediately thought that he had some issues with reality and perception. His wife was adorable, to be clear but I don't think she resembled her in the slightest. Was that his fantasy? I doubt anyone else was actively involved in the plan, but I fully believe that digital evidence from phone or computer will eventually show that someone else was aware of it, and likely knew when the murder was about to happen, and perhaps even that it had. JMO

My own thinking is that there was likely someone else he was involved with and that he may have promised that person that he would leave his wife and be with her, but I have doubts as to whether or not that person knew that he would murder his wife. Just my opinion at this stage of the case. I do think we will know soon who the other person is. I wonder if it is someone involved with his music ministry in the church, a younger person.

If someone had been told he was going to leave his wife to be with her, if she had no idea he planned to murder her, I certainly hope she went to LE just as soon as she learned of the supposed 'burglary', and resulting death of AF, with no injuries to anyone else. I am sure it did not take LE long to learn of her, if such a person exists, as I believe does.
