“I need all the support that I can get to bring her home. Anything to keep me comfortable and from losing my mind,” said Angela Steinfurth, Elaina’s mother.

Is there a donation drive? Just curious.

and there was a time lapse between when dad showed up and when he went to get HIS father to come help, right?

It's the yelling about not wanting to give the baby to the dad because she wouldn't get Elaina back that is most convoluted IMO.

That baby is close by. She has to be.

Not the grandma, she was staying with the boyfriend's mama, Julie King. Boyfriend was Steven King, Jr.

Oh yea, I meant 'step grandma.' Point is, she claims she didn't see the baby.

Did dad leave to get his father or did he call him and wait at the house for him to get there?

Hey, good thinking. How far does dad's dad live? How long would that round trip take . Was the yelling about never seeing her kids again before or after dad went to get grandpa ?
I know there's a fresh time line right up ^^^ so I'll go answer my own question.

Dad took the 4 yr old back to his house, then brought back his own dad to get Elaina.

OH thanks. I've been looking for the fb page. OT OT !

Ok, so we have some unknown (?) period of time where mom could have gotten the baby out of the house then? If (and that is a big if) the baby was really there at all then it seems we should still have a pretty tight timeline for her "disappearance". This angel has to be close.

And what is up with It's not a big deal if you abuse your kids as long as I don't see it, so go elsewhere? Did I understand that right? Instead of calling CPS and saying you're abusing the kids,, YOU get out, leave the kids here and I'll call their other parent or I'll call CPS . Isn't that acceptable ?

I would tell the mom to leave and keep the babies there ---and threaten to call 911 and CPS if she complained. :furious:

Donations of Valium, dilauded, etc is what I believe she is referring to....and/or the box of wine mentioned in a prior post...IMO:floorlaugh:

I can't get past that one line where it was said that when she went out front to tell the baby's father that she was 'gone' , the boyfriend ran out the back.

How do we know he didn't take the baby with him at that time?

What about Angela's mom? We haven't heard from her yet. Wasn't Angela staying with her prior to this one night back at her b/f's mom's house? When did Angela's mom last see Elaina?

I'm getting shades of Billie Dunn as well. People just trip me out anymore. This is so crazy.

I fully believe that Elaina was not there that Sunday morning. Something happened that night. They were desperate..cold, wet and had 2 kids in tow and in need that day. I'm not sure who called SK's mom, but it seemed like a last-chance move. They came to the house that night or afternoon, and then....?

OMG, that was my first thought. It sounded to me like a very thinly veiled shout out for drugs.

I hate, hate, hate even thinking this but Shaniya Davis keeps coming to mind.

Except that there's also the possibility that the baby was never even there to begin with or disappeared prior to TS coming by to pick the girls up. In that case, there could be hours unaccounted for.

Are we all on the same page with the idea that the mother screaming from inside the house was a deliberate ACT and not a real attempt to stop the dad from getting the baby?

Sadly, I think we are. I keep waiting for a really wise poster to come along and make a strong argument against that theory but it isn't happening. I think she planned this out right down to the screaming episode.
