At this time we can only discuss what is known thru the media and law enforcement. Rumor is not allowed.

Discussing facebook is not allowed and anything from it is considered rumor. You can link to a facebook page providing it has to do with the case but no discussing it.

Law Enforcement has not named anyone a suspect or person of interest. Unless or until they do sleuthing anyone in this case is not allowed here.

Thanks everyone!

Ima

I'm sorry, I am not LE but an involved party and everything I have posted is not rumor/speculation, it is the truth .

Just because she said about she (mom) or dad would have to help, I'm speculating, maybe she's very shy or afraid of strangers (won't willingly go to them if called and so forth). Whereas if mom or dad were there she would respond or let them pick her up or whatever. Meh, just a thought. Although I am not sure what that would mean the mom is envisioning....her baby just hanging out down by the river? I mean this is a baby right? (I'm assuming here since I don't have kids....even if she was just sitting somewhere by the river without much injury, if shed gone this long without food or water she'd probably not be in much shape to fight if a rescuer tried to pick her up right?)

To my knowledge, she had no behavioral problms, and the med she was on was an oral med for thrush.

Oh lord. I haven't read the entire thread but it sounds like Bryeon Hunter all over again. Mom and two kids living with the boyfriend and his family. Please let dear Elaina be found safe.

It is terribly depressing that each of us can name so many other cases that this one reminds us of. We have had our hearts broken by the loss of way too many abused babies. Why does this keep happening?

Kind of OT but very depressing...last night I was looking up older cases for a specific reason and I came across some of my posts on a case in 2010...and saw that back then, I still had optimism, i.e that the person was "being held" or would turn up, etc. something I have almost totally lost in the past three years. It was kind of startling as I did not even recognize the posts as something I would write, now. :(

I have to take regular breaks from here or I would quickly become the type of parent that never let's their children out of their sight. My kids are both boys and they will be 13 & 18 this year so I used to feel that I had little to worry about with them but this site has taught me otherwise. I have also became a lot more vigilant about watching other parents. There was a time when I might have noticed a parent being a little rough or loud with their kids and assumed they were probably having a hard day and it was none of my business but I pay a lot more attention now and I speak up more because I've realized how often abused kids become missing and/or dead kids. You can't stay here long and not be changed by what you see but if it makes a difference for even one child then it is worth it.

Well, I am gonna try to get some sleep. I'm leaving in under 5 hours to take my mom to SC (14+ hr round trip drive). She's moving to FL and it is a great move for her for so many reasons and I'm so proud of her for taking this opportunity to get her life together but I'm gonna miss her like crazy (and here I go crying again).

Anyway, I was hoping Elaina would be home by now. I can't imagine how much her daddy and big sister are missing her. I will check in as often as possible tomorrow but if anything breaks, somebody that is on my Facebook please grab my number from there and text me. I'm so worried about this little angel and the thought of her being dumped somewhere is only making me cry harder. Come home safe sweet girl, you have no idea how many people have fallen in love with you and want to see you grow up into a beautiful young woman!

Good morning all. I'm on the road (don't worry husband is driving) and it is gonna be a really sad day for me and my little one so having our sweet girl found safely and returned to her daddy would be wonderful! I will be checking in as often as I can but if there is any news please text me (my number is on my FB).

Somebody knows where this baby is and it is time to put an end to this nightmare. Please don't allow her family to suffer another day. They have been through enough and deserve answers.

I hate that they are looking at the lake and in the woods.

We have made it to Fancy Gap and just saw the brightest rainbow. I hope that it will serve as a beautiful bridge to bring our sweet girl home to her family today.

Vasports I hope you are right.
So I was thinking about ' issues' and wondering if baby was a little grumpy and not sleeping well, which is not an " ISSUE" at all but more is a product of her environment. If mom's crashing in house after house and Elaina's not got her bedtime routine and her bed that shes' used to that would cause her to have fitful sleeps . Babies are extremely schedule / routine oriented. If she's expected to sleep 'like a baby' in any ole house , in any ole bed at any ole time of day, of course that won't work out and someone not paying attention or unaware of her needs could look at her and think shes' having issues or acting out, etc.
