I forgot the baby's name but does anybody remember the case where the lil boy (seems like he was about this age or even younger) that supposedly wandered off at night, in the cold on a evening when multiple people had been in his home? Was he ever found or anybody charged?

*off to Google

No offense ... But I am really pissed off. I am pissed off because so called mothers like Angela do not take care of their babies!!! No one should willinging have a baby on this earth unless they are prepared to treat their baby with unconditional love, care, tenderness, kindness, respect, gentleness and know in their heart they would do anything to make their baby feel protected and safe at all times. A mother is meant to protect their baby from harm! AS failed!!! She has hurt her little babies.

Elaina was not abducted!!! Definitely not from a stranger! (Zero motive in this neighbourhood). Her mother never treated her well and whether the father created an elaborate plan to kidnap her to keep her from harms way, at this point I would only commend his family. No parent should EVER be abusing a 17 month old defenseless baby, this is sickening!!! AS made a very horrific mistake - she needs to provide more answers. There is just nothing pointing to a random abduction! Because God knows, 17 months old doesn't go walkabouts on their own without being found! IMO

Thanks for your rant. Now I don't have to. I've ranted in a few similar cases and it does make you feel better. And it needs to be said. Babies are not a status symbol and it seems their value among the younger generation of moms ( not that dads dont do it but i hold moms to a higher standard) these days and it's sickening. Being a female parent to a child doesn't make you a mommy. I makes you a human with ovaries !

Come home today baby Elaina !

Just told my mom bye and my heart is breaking right now, even knowing that I will see her in a month or so. I can't begin to imagine how Elaina's family must be feeling. I'm not much for prayer but if there is a benevolent deity out there please let this baby be brought home safe today.

So a piece of drift wood in the Maumee River sent crews searching water near a grain elevator off of Kuhlman, in search for Elaina. #Toledo

I still can't believe this sweet girl hasn't been found.

Me either. I really expected her and Kathlynn Shepard in Iowa to be found rather quickly.

Day 6: No sign yet of one year-old Elaina Steinfurth. If someone has hurt her, what did the little girl do to... http://fb.me/2bX2UsaAb

is the grandfather in this video paternal or maternal?

http://www.kltv.com/story/22481101/child-missing-in-east-toledo

It must be her father. The first day there was a video of the paternal grandfather talking about going to the house with his son to get the baby (after the mom said she wouldn't give her to him). That was different man, so this must be maternal grandfather.

ETA: If you scroll down on that article it shows a "family tree". It shows the paternal grandfather. It is not the man in the video.

Although grateful for the outpouring of support, Angela Steinfurth told WNWO she feels some have unfairly placed suspicion on her in Elaina’s disappearance.

“If I had their support I wouldn’t feel the way I do, but not when people are pointing fingers at me when they don’t even know what’s going on,” said Steinfurth. She continued, “I’ve been shaking for the last three days and I just want my baby home.”

I dunno... even if no one suspected her, wouldn't she still be likely to feel like crap because her baby is missing...?

“She [Ms. Steinfurth] told me that the last time she saw her [Elaina] was about 12:30 p.m. Sunday,” Ms. King said. “She last saw her when she changed her daughters’ diaper and closed the bedroom door to let her sleep.”

Wondering if the police found any used diapers in the family garbage.

“I need all the support that I can get to bring her home. Anything to keep me comfortable and from losing my mind,” said Angela Steinfurth, Elaina’s mother.

Ummm....what does she need to keep her comfortable? Is she asking for money? Or a place to stay? Why is this all about her?
