I hope Nancy Grace is still covering Elaina's story tonight rather than the George Zimmerman trial. I can't see what else they could possibly have to say about that whole thing today that hasn't been said. But so far today when I see Elaina on HLN, it's to advertise NG Mysteries this Friday.

*fingers crossed*

It speaks volumes that SK isn't out searching or doing interviews himself. Maybe FBI asked him not to in order to protect the case? She will find out soon enough when he doesn't visit her in jail lol

It could also be because of the threats. Not to mention, if he was out searching people will still talk based on their assumptions and probably say he's only searching because he feels guilty. If he were to find some sort of evidence people will say he planted it to steer people in the wrong direction. He's in a lose, lose situation because of public opinion unfortunately. Not sticking up for the guy, I'm just saying I think that's what would happen.

Her step-sister said on JVM that she couldn't smoke at her dad's, so she went back to the house where Sk was. She could smoke there. Even though they were "broken up".

And didn't "Frank" say on NG that AS was making phone calls to everyone she knew looking for some kind of help? What did AS need so bad?

Oops spoke too soon, she's covering Zimmerman AND Elaina..

missed her opening remarks... "surveillance video from Walgreen's pharmacy" (??) and something about "she saw Mommy and baby Elaina at the Gas n Go just hours before she disappeared"..

(playing clips about Elaina now)

BOMBSHELL TONIGHT - (covering Zimmerman trial first)

"A police report obtained by HLN Monday reveals details of a possible sighting of Elaina hours before she was reported missing that could alter the reported timeline of the case.

An employee at a Gas-N-Go station about a mile from the house where Elaina was reportedly last seen told Toledo police that she believed Angela and Elaina came in sometime between 7 and 9:45 a.m. on June 2.

The employee said she was certain it was Angela because Angela also used to work at the gas station. She said Angela bought some glazed honey buns and juice and paid with her food stamp card.

According to the employee, Elaina was grabbing for items but was not talking.

She said Angela should have been caught on the station’s video system, but the report stated they were having problems with the system and a detective was unable to view the video to confirm it.

<snip>

The Gas-N-Go employee told HLN that the baby who was with the woman she believed to be Angela Steinfurth did not appear to be injured."

Much more at link.
I hope we hear about these things tonight, but for now NG's still covering Trayvon Martin's case.

It was another quick appearance for Angela Steinfurth. Her child endangering charges were transferred over to Lucas County Common Pleas Court for the next step.

Toledo police officers presented evidence to a grand jury Monday, and members decided to add a charge of obstructing justice. Steinfurth will be arraigned on the charges in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

This does not mean the charge of felony child endangerment has been dropped. In fact, more charges could be still be added.

is it kidnapping if a custodial parent gives you the child to watch?

No. From what I've read, they're still married, so they both have custody.

Where's that stroller??

Unfortunately the Gas n Go video surveillance was down and not working :( URGH

(Nancy Grace is covering Elaina now, I'll try to transcribe) -

Mystery witness says she saw baby and mom between 7 - 9:45 am, says child appeared fine, mom was buying honey buns and fruit punch, she's positive it was mom because mom used to work at the gas station, so Nancy we wondered if anyone had seen the child the day she went missing and apparently someone may have.

she saw angela steinfurth with the missing baby between 7-9:45 am and the baby goes missing around what 2pm, is that right?

Right, and you know she didn't notice the baby was injured, the bump on the head, the bloody nose, the black eye, she didn't see any of that, she says that's something she definitely would've noticed. now the video surveillance was down so they couldn't check that, but detectives have (missed these last few words)...

(At this point NG says there should be legislation that businesses making $X revenue must have working video surveillance systems for their own safety.)

RS is with us, TJ is with us, Terry Sr is with us, RS I wanna know what you make of reports that female inmates may have given statements implicating your daughter that she madea confession behind bars.

I heard that but I don't think it's true. That's just people talkin to, you know, I heard the same thing too, you know, let's see the proof, you know, if you'r'e gonna talk let's put proof on the table.

Mr. S - if what the woman said is true, it's damning to your daughter.. let me see MR. S. please.. you gotta think as a prosecutor long and hard before you put an inmate on the stand because ther are all kinds of pitfalls with that, becuase first of all you don't know she may be a bank robber or something herself, you have to put her on the stand and put her under fire on cross examination, on the other hand if she does exist and this is true then that's a torpedo for the defense. Now, Terry Sr what do you make of it?

I'm gonna take it with a grain of salt until LE tells me it's definitely true or definitely not true.

Exactly where is the stroller! I hope FBI has it

Can we believe this Gas employee? If so, I have renewed hope. But it doesn't make sense , does it ?

Great news, thank you!

IF someone were hiding Elaina all this time, I have NO doubt they would be charged. It isn't as if anyone would NOT know the police and searchers have been looking for this child for almost a month!

Unfortunately, I don't think this is the case anyway. IMO

The food stamp card would be able to confirm if she was at the gas n go

That is a GREAT idea Italianangel!
Also, neighboring homes/business may have surveillance cameras.

NG says they are pulling the nearby Walgreens surveillance video
They should pull every business within 10 miles of every direction and if they have city cams

(clips of videos and voice overs)

dr ann ? her specialty pediatrics and she works in the ER, Dr Ann thank you so much for being with us, Angela Steinfurth says she woke up she looked over and her daughter has a black eye that has already manifested, blood aroudn the nostrils, and a visible bump on the head. What does that mean?

Well Nancy we're both moms what's the first thing we're gonna do? What Happened? and we're gonna go to the doctor and have it checked out.

Now Dr what was the first time we met, I brought John David there for ..

No, it was Lucy for her arm.

Right, right anything that goes wrong I'm there in the ER to have it checked out.

Could you get all those injuries on one fall?

It's possible but...

I mean it sounds like multi directional injuries to me.

Hmmm...

What are the possibilities that someone this age just wandered away, Dr?

I mean I understand this baby has a little bit of developmental issues..

Liz put up the video of Elaina walking around on the front porch - I mean, she can definitely walk.

okay. okay... It would be very difficult for an 18 month old to just wander away. Possible but.. difficult.. and again if someone has got her and with these potential injuries, my question is has she been treated? Has someone taken her to the hospital?

Got it. Now, Seth Meyers, (missed the question)

Not necessarily, I mean I think a good parent, they're going to protect the child. That's going to be their priority.. No. Matter. What.

She had to feed herself and the kids so hopefully the food stamp card or a debit/credit card will show her movements where she paid for things
