Cincinnati Police need help identifying a man found naked and unresponsive near Jack Casino.

On Wednesday around 3:30 a.m., police found the man down in 1000 block of Gilbert Avenue. Officers discovered a male believed to be in his 40s, disrobed and unresponsive.

Lt. Steve Saunders said the man was found near the Jack Casino sign but was not a guest at the casino.

The man is "gravely ill," Saunders said.

Cincinnati Fire Department also responded and took the man to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for an "unknown serious medical condition."

Police have not been able to identify him and need help from the public.

"It's bizarre," Saunders said.

MO - MO- William Donald Ragland, 41, Morrisville, Polk County, July 2019

William Donald Ragland is "a white, male, age 41, [height] 6′ 2″, 225 lbs, brown hair, blue eyes, with surgical scars on his left leg that cause him to walk with a limp, wearing dark blue or green t-shirt and black or blue shorts.”

William was last seen wearing jeans rather than shorts and has a scar. No scar or eye color was given for this UID. Other stats mostly match, imo. He went missing yesterday and he certainly could have made it to Cincinnati by today.

Is he O.K.?

We probably will not find out his condition unless his family chooses to speak to the press. Now that he has been identified by his family I don't expect we will hear any more news. MOO.

hypothermia? explains clothes being removed

In July? Maybe he escaped from a locked freezer but why run to a major roadway near a casino? This is a strange one.

Does it not get cold at night? I thought it did

Cooling off is a relative concept in summer. It goes from "Everything is melting" to "Ok, maybe we can open some windows."

Past Weather in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA — Yesterday or Further Back

According to this weather history report it looks as if on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 the low temp around midnight through 6AM was 70° while the high temp was 86° at noon.

Hypothermia could be possible but it wouldn't have been weather related, imo. There are some medical conditions that would cause hypothermia but we'd have no way of knowing if that's the case with this gentleman. Could it be he was poisoned?

Whatever he's suffering with I'm glad to know that as of the last report I could find he is still alive, albeit in critical condition.
