It was early in the investigation, only 3 months in, and LE was trying to figure out how credible the tips were that were coming in.

"...We have received over 100 tips, we have conducted over 50 to 60 interviews …"

" ...Releasing the autopsy reports would damage our ability to solve this case. Our ability to judge the veracity of information coming in, our ability to judge the credibility of information coming in, all goes away once that is public.”

This sounds like they wanted to see if they might be told something only the killer, or those informed by the killer, would know. Details released to the public would mean everybody knows.

Coroner Dr. David Kessler wrote: "The autopsy reports are confidential law enforcement investigatory records and their release might impede the criminal investigation or the families’ grieving process.”

In Websleuths Media Timeline, it read that George Wagner had a interview May 17 2017, and it said only one interview, so was this George 3rd or George the 4th?

Well we knew something major happened in the Case back in May 2017. The searches, several Wagner interviews including all 4 being interviewed on May 21st with this being the only interview in discovery for GW4, (that I can see) then charges dismissed and never re-filed again against JM, the move to Alaska in June and then Rita being interviewed June 16 and 20.

A successful search warrant means enough probable cause was found for the warrant and then likely some important evidence was discovered. Not enough for arrests, but enough for DeWine to issue the laser focus the following month. Also the Wagners tripped themselves up in lies in their interviews according to Reader: "all the lies they told us."

Finally found a view of the inside of the Pike Co. Ohio Courthouse.
I always wondered what it looked like from this view where you can see over the painting on the wall above the judge's desk, and you can see the lights hanging from the ceiling. Pretty intimidating if your a defendant.

One interview of George Wagner conducted on May 17, 2017 has been turned over to Jake’s attorneys and three interviews of Billy Wagner in 2016 and 2017 have been disclosed. Multiple 3D scans of the four crime scenes have been turned over along with ballistic and biological evidence diagrams.
