So do you think the Wagner's past charges will be brought up at trial?

One can hope as it dispels the idea that the W clan were good god fearing law abiding citizens. Jmo

Gosh Hope So! She sure has a history. Bet we get more to fill in gaps... and got to figure LE had all this before the arrest.

Father charged in Pike County murders had past brushes with law

Frank Gerlach (Rita's attorney) was his attorney for the gun charge.
It was a loaded .40-caliber Glock handgun.

A Dayton Daily News examination of Billy Wagner’s life in southern Ohio shows repeated run-ins with the law on various criminal allegations. One incident remains seared in the memory of the man who says he experienced it.

Brad Uhl remembers the summer day the man in the white Jeep flashed a handgun at him, his teenage daughter, and his teenage niece during “a bit of road rage” on U.S. 23 near Lucasville, between Piketon and Portsmouth.

“It’s something you don’t forget,” Uhl said.

The incident resulted in Billy Wagner pleading no contest to charges he improperly handled a loaded .40-caliber Glock handgun, according to the Portsmouth Municipal Court.

Billy Wagner’s wife, Angela Wagner, was similarly charged in the 2001 case, though records show her case was dismissed.

‘He was flashing it at us’

An Ohio State Highway Patrol investigation report shows troopers understood Uhl’s call to police as him reporting “a male driver was holding a handgun to the head of a woman passenger.”

But Uhl — contacted by the newspaper — disputes the Highway Patrol’s records in the incident. The gun was not pointed at a woman’s head, he told the newspaper, “He was flashing it at us.”

“He wouldn’t let me pass him,” Uhl said, recalling his car and the Jeep both met at a stoplight. “There was never a gun held to anyone’s head, he just held up the gun to say, ‘I mean business.’”

“The light turned green, he stood there for a second, I let him go and then made a call to the state patrol,” Uhl said.

About 15 minutes later, down the road about five miles, Uhl saw troopers pulled the driver over.

Both Wagners, the report indicates, were taken to the patrol post for questioning after troopers observed a black handgun in a purse on the passenger side.

Please forgive me--my mind is a little muddy....Just to get it straight in my head--is the AW referred to in the above case one and the same AW that is charged with the Rhoden/Gilley murders or is it a different AW?

Seems to be, but I haven't researched enough to know for sure, so JMO for now. I was advised to do a background check on TC, but haven't yet. Also, this was blatantly discussed on a major FB site.

Yes, if they are relevant. JMO
Well then the gun arrest is proof that they owned handguns and not just rifles for hunting. They told the Alaskan neighbor they owned one shot gun.

The stolen property arrests shows they have no problem with theft which is what happened to the Rhoden's security cameras and phones.

No, it is a different AW, go to Volusia County Florida Clerk and look at Case Number: 1994 33575 FMCI for information then look in docket entries.

Yes! And much more than we even know about IMO.

Whatever. I totally disagree and see nothing that dispels the Ross County case. Do you?

But of course, you have special access to records that we don't have.

Then go to 94DR000489 WAGNER, ANGELA vs. CAMPFIELD, THOMAS W in Ross County OHIO Court of Common Pleas. This is a Parentage case, meaning a child is involved. Everyone is free to research further in detail rather than take the word of anyone else. Draw your own conclusions. JMO

So, what's your take on the Ohio case? A woman in Florida who happens to have an Ohio attorney and an Ohio defendant? And both Plaintiff and Defendant have local ties to Chillicothe.

My take on the Attorneys (John Street and Jeff Benson) is they represented this AW through the court in Volusia County. In docket entries (Florida case) you can clearly see that the AW was sent letters from the court with the last name of Warren as she had gotten a divorce from a S. Wagner.

Lol. Why would they represent an AW in Florida? Better yet, why wouldn't she just get a Florida attorney?

Sorry, no I do not understand what that has to do with an A. WAGNER in Ohio, but we can just let it be for now. I have to pay for my information so it takes longer than yours.

I see nothing about these in the Ohio case, but tired of arguing. It's my least favorite thing to do.

Sorry about the confusion. I was trying to "reply" to CC's post # 558. The links are in that post and I'm not sure why they didn't successfully get transferred to my response.

I've been having trouble with the "reply" function for a few weeks, don't understand why.
