I believe that Brownie would have been familiar with Jake and Jake also knew where security cameras were at both Chris's and Kenny's. Keep in mind these were people very familiar with dogs (they had raised them for years) and technology (they hacked social media accounts and IIRC bugged phones and residences) so Jake (during the time he was with Hannah) may have been asked by Chris and Kenny to help install those cameras. Most people don't change their security cameras because their daughter/niece ends a relationship with her BF. My security cameras have survived a few breakups between my grandsons and ex GF's and I suspect that like most people Chris and Kenny never even thought about replacing or moving their cameras.

Along the lines of those cameras I wonder if any were installed inside the homes. I have 6 installed inside my home, 3 upstairs and 3 downstairs that are monitored 24/7 by a security company. My worrywart son had them installed just in case one of us should fall and can't get up (I swear he saw that commercial one too many times). They are so tiny that the ordinary person usually does not even see them. A little larger than the head of an eraser on a pencil. They are positioned to cover the entire inside of the house and have a panic fob you can wear around your neck or lay on your night stand. Some of them (the non public areas, like bedrooms, bathrooms) can of course be turned off with that same fob but still have the red medical emergency button which you can push. So I am wondering about Chris and Kenny having something of the same since they are very popular (many people have them here) and inexpensive (an initial purchase with a small monthly bill). Even if they did not have a security company monitoring them they still may have had them inside the houses.

You buy these cameras from the company so they are left intact if you switch companies or decide not to have any security at all or move to another house. I have been told by people that even if they are not actively monitored they still record and also even if you decide to end your contract with the security company the cameras can still be turned back on by federal LE. I am wondering if that is the electronic evidence the prosecution has and the unnamed confidential resource Angie C talked about. It makes sense that Fred may have had a security company like ADT install a system at one time that may have been no longer an active account but could still be activated to monitor the inside of her house. I realize I am not explaining this very well but an example is maybe she had a security company to install cameras in 2010, but decided she didn't want to pay the bill anymore. Those cameras could have been turned back on by LE to monitor conversations held inside her home in 2018. Or the Peterson RD house could have had them installed before the Wags bought it and they never knew they were there. The house in AK also. These cameras are so tiny and hidden unless you knew they were there you would not have noticed them.

Dudley you are kind of our tech guy, do you think this is possible and could be the "confidential Resource" Angie C talked about?

I wish I was tech savvy.
I have heard this can be done. Even cameras on laptops and phones can be turned on remotely from malware on the device. Mark Zuckerberg says he keeps tape over the camera on his laptop because of this.
I would think that could be a confidential reliable source.

Something that I can’t wait to see come out during the trials is, if the accused tried to make the crime scene look like, A Manleys committed the murders or the cartel did the killing anyone except a Wagner, so what was the marijuana growing in and could it have been planted on the Rhodens property the night of the murders? Plus there was a article in the Daily that disappeared, it talked about a needle inside a pop bottle, I wonder who’s DNA was on that hypodermic needle?
There may have been DNA IF there was actually a hypo found in a bottle. I never heard or read that there was...

It never occurred to me that Rhodens or Wagners could have been tied in to an actual security company and that:

"even if you decide to end your contract with the security company the cameras can still be turned back on by federal LE. "

Yes it's possible and downright sick and creepy if Jake helped install the cameras or gave advice on what to buy.

I just thought of something, maybe Kenny was killed because he had a M grow and Jake knew this. Chris had a M grow operation and Kenny grew M on a small scale according to Kendra.

So maybe the Wagners wanted the 2 grows to be found so it looked like a Cartel hit, plus it looked drug related with paper $ thrown on Kenny. Kenny could have been used as a "red herring" he had nothing to do with custody so to shoot him does make it look more drug related. Finding grows at 2 locations, not just at one location, fits that scenario.

...2 Cents...

"even if you decide to end your contract with the security company the cameras can still be turned back on by federal LE. "

Yes. I hope that after hubby and I are gone if my son sells this house he informs the new owners where the security cameras are. Think how many people buy and rent houses that have had security cameras installed by a security company in the past who never know they are there. Since the security company monitors them and turns them off if you don't pay your bill remotely of course it would follow that if LE asked they could turn them back on. Pretty creepy huh? And cameras are everywhere. Tiny cameras you don't notice on stop lights that take a picture of your license tag if you run a red light, so they can mail you a ticket (I found that out the hard way on a vacation in a tiny Texas town when I got a ticket in the mail a few weeks later. lol) An example is the recent election. My nephew said "You can say anything you want but you can't beat the camera evidence in the counting rooms." I am really thinking that confidential resource may be a forgotten security camera on FWF.

Shoe receipt and custody documents were found in Jake's truck inside a box marked "important papers."

This is something I missed. Where was this cited?

Thanks :)

Locals have gone on record stating the Rhodens Marijuana was considered premium for that location. Most likely they grew their pot using a wide spread hydroponics setup.

I haven’t been on here much because there doesn’t seem to be anything new going on in these cases. Could someone kindly fill me in on what’s going on? Have trial dates been set or just more obfuscation? The speed with which these cases are going have tested my patience. Those family’s need justice!

Snowden keeps tape over his too. Not that it matters.

The only thing I can recall about a hypodermic needle in a bottle was a guy at a derby found one. It was in this article and this is what was said:

"On Saturday afternoon, the guy who’d pulled up beside me in the parking field of the Adams County fairground waved hello. As we neared the bleachers above the derby pit, he jingled an empty water bottle with a hypodermic needle inside before throwing it in the trash."

From Scheiderer's testimony at the Bond hearing

Canepa:
And then did you ultimately execute a Search Warrant upon State Route 41?

Scheiderer:
Yes.

Canepa:
And during that Search Warrant - first of all can you describe to us what you were searching there?

Scheiderer:
Which scene?

Canepa:
At State Route 41.

Scheiderer:
There were 2 pickup trucks and 3 trailers that were parked at that location that belonged to the Wagner family.

Canepa:
Ok and, and during the search of those various vehicles did you find a receipt?

Scheiderer:
Yes we did.

Canepa:
And can you tell us where the receipt was found?

Scheiderer:
In Jake Wagner's truck.

Canepa:
And specifically in a tub marked important things or something?

Scheiderer:
Correct.

Canepa:
Ok same place where you found the original Custody Document correct?

Scheiderer:
Yes.

Canepa:
And you had a Walmart (something) receipt correct?

Scheiderer:
Yes there was a Walmart receipt located.

Their truck as in the truck they owned, or their truck they were going to drive on a run...
Specifically Jake's pickup truck parked at State Route 41. There were 2 pickup trucks parked there and 3 trailers and the Wagner's owned all of these.

They may have only taken the monitor/recorder parts of his security system that was in his camper. We don’t know that they hunted down all his cameras, I don’t believe...

You are right, we can't be certain that all the cameras were taken down, or if every single part of them was taken down.

Here is what DS said about the cameras. Also, BJ saw cameras there when she cleaned the camper. (I thought it was KR who said this but it was DS)

His cousin Donald Stone, also 44, said Rhoden was worried about security at his camper home and had installed a network of cameras to record and alert him to visitors.

Stone discovered his body and called police adding: 'Those cameras were not there. They had been taken down by the killer.'

Thank you for clarifying, I had misunderstood. I thought you were referring to the search of Jake's truck on January 15 2019. Makes more sense now.

I wonder if the custody papers and Walmart receipt were kept with the "802 Miscellaneous Documents" of evidence from the 41 search?

Why would they keep the Walmart receipt? Returning the items later for cash? To write off on their tax return ;)???

I forgot about the truck search in January 2019. I wonder what that was all about?
And why didn't they throw out the tub? Maybe they thought they could use the fake custody documents in the future.

As for the receipt? Angela could not have returned the shoes because they were used in the murders so it makes zero sense that she kept the receipt. One idea, the "boys" were undecided if they wanted to wear them or not for the murders and so Angela thought she might return them and get different ones but then she forgot about the receipt.

I don't remember the 802 Miscellaneous Documents but if they were found from the route 41 search then I am sure they were in that tub marked important "stuff" along with the Walmart shoe receipt and the custody documents. This tub was also mentioned at one of Rita's hearings.

RITA NEWCOMB BAIL REVOCATION HEARING - PART 1
Ritas's Attorney:

"...July 20-19 we asked for a list of copies of the entire contents and documents contained in the tub marked important stuff that was seized from Angela Wagner in which the State claims does contain the custody documents allegedly notarized by Rita Newcomb. We are searching for certain documents that the prosecution is aware of previously dated 8 something which these alleged custody documents, but actually they're guardian documents."

Thanks for the heads up about security cameras. Yes creepy!

Canepa said the confidential reliable source is a woman but yes they might have security footage of something. DeWine said they did receive video footage but he didn't specify from where or if it was helpful or not.

We know they have 8,000 recordings of Wagner phone calls that are of specific interest to the prosecution, this doesn't count the ones that are not. They have text messages but I don't know if the text messages are included in that 8,000. I suspect they are just because 8,000 is such a huge amount.

I was referring to the statement that JW and GWIV were on their way to get their truck when arrested. It was written as though they were getting “their” truck they drove for a living. I question if it was their personal truck they owned pre-Alaska move or one they were hired to drive. I don’t believe they could still own that semi-tractor when they came back.

I think they owned the long haul truck in 2018 and drove it on jobs and that it was bugged.

I think they had enough money from selling the Peterson Rd. house to not need to sell the long haul truck. They got the Peterson Rd. house free, I think from Fred. Someone posted the records and it showed they bought it for a token dollar. Take only as my opinion but I'm sure they got it for a token dollar from Fred.

At any rate, that means that when they sold it they did not have to first pay off a mortgage to a lending company. Instead they kept all the money.

I suspect they kept their truck in case Alaska didn't work out so they could resume their over the road trucking job when they got back. Also, GW4 was being bugged in summer of 2017 and summer of 2018 and they thought the truck they worked out of was bugged.

BCI couldn't bug a truck that belonged to a company, but they could bug the Wagner's personal truck. When they say "don't talk until we get home we are being bugged" and complain their truck is bugged, it sounds like they are talking from inside their truck. If so, only their personal truck could be bugged.

I don't think they owned the semi when they were arrested (*Jake and George*) I remember when Jake was asking for donations just after the murders to help get custody of SW, he said he was a "former OTR truck driver" but had gotten a job in Cincinnati so he could spend more time with her. Here is the article:

Rhoden case: 'Hate seeing my daughter cry'

"Wagner set a fundraising goal of $20,000, but said his legal bills were not quite that high. But, he added, his legal bills were four times more than what he expected. The former over-the-road truck driver and trained mechanic has maxed out his credit cards. He said he is paying his lawyer in what is left over after he pays his other bills every month. It hardly makes a dent."

The biggest problem with anything the Ws said or say in comments is whether it can be believed. They seem to be able to lie as easy as they breathe. This is why I doubt we will ever get the true story as to the what and why of these murders. I expect each one would have a version of the story with much that does not match the other versions.

Jake Wagner is still scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on Dec 2 at 1:30 pm. His last hearing was postponed, assume due to the pandemic.

He has a motion hearing scheduled for 12/22/20 at 9:00 am

ETA: At this time, nothing is scheduled for the other 3 Wagners. It appears Jake may be the first Wagner to have his aggravated murder + case go to trial.

IIRC from the last hearing, the prosecution and defense attorneys were going to meet in December to make sure everyone had what they needed to begin trials. Some of the last details included providing defense with actual transcripts of many of the recordings in evidence.

To date, no defense attorney has offered any discovery evidence to the prosecution.

From George IV's court info

"The Court noted that the Defendant appeared in Court on this day in civilian clothing and there were no visible restraints appearing on the outside of the Defendant's clothing. Counsel for the State of Ohio and counsel for the Defendant indicated to the Court that the parties had reached an agreement concerning Defendant's Motion No. 59 and Defendant's Motion No. 60, and counsel recited the agreement on the record. The Court finds that with respect to Defendant's Motion No. 59, the parties agreed that on or before December 31, 2020, the State of Ohio will provide the Defendant with summaries of all recorded telephone calls and other recorded conversations that the State of Ohio intends to use in the trial of this action, as well as transcripts of those positions of any recorded telephone calls and other recorded conversations that the State of Ohio intends to use at the trial of this action. The Court further finds that with respect to Defendant's Motion No. 60, the parties have agreed that within thirty (30) days after August 31, 2020, the State of Ohio will provide the Defendant with copies of all lab reports for all forensic tests that the State of Ohio intends to use at the trial of this action, together with bench notes for all such reports. The Court further finds that the State of Ohio has agreed that within thirty (30) days after August 31, 2020, the State of Ohio, through its counsel, will certify that it has furnished to the Defendant all lab reports for all forensic tests the results of which the State of Ohio intends to use at the trial in this action, as well as the bench notes for the same."

GW4 also requested bail and the judge refused.

A while later, GW3 filed 2 handwritten requests for a speedy trial. His attorneys talked him out of moving forward with that and filed an order to rescind the requests.

but - in my notes I have this, which I copied from the docket site - 2nd from the bottom.

11/6/20: Journal entry ordering continuance of pretrial motion hearing-due to a conflict of the court's calendar, on Court's own motion. Pretrial hearing & pretrial motions hearing scheduled for 12/2/20 is continued to Tuesday, 12/22/20 @ 9am.
