Not sure if the other W4 knew in advance, but they sure will now.

Wonder how FW is feeling right about now!
I have a visual of FW fleeing Pike County, flying high on a broom like the witch in the Wizard of Oz.
MO and Theory, of course,

So he’ll have to serve 160 years before his life terms kick in. I’m total he got 280 years without parole? Or am I misunderstanding?

Defense attorney talking now. Post release control, counts 9 thru 23. Judge will go through and talk about it on the record.

Counts 9, 10, 11, 12,13 and 22 are first degree felonies, 23 is sex related. Each requires 5 yrs of mandatory post release control.

Others are 4th and 5th degree and 3rd degree felonies, with optional provision of post release control.

Now Deering seems to be confusing things.

Judge has to cover this even though he will never be released. That’s my understanding.

That could happen, but his sentence hasn't been decided yet. Probably won't be decided until after he testifies against the others or they take similar plea agreements. He also faces the option of just LWOP

Yes, he's just dotting the i's and crossing the t's. He doesn't want to give any grounds for appeal, etc. I assume.

I wonder what AG Dave Yost thinks? He's the one who dumped the cases out of the AG's office because he didn't want the cost on his budget.

WOW. I am shocked. I thought that little weasel would never admit a thing. And now he's going to rat out the rest of the "evil ones." I hope they all rot.

LOL.

I also wonder what will happen with GW4's scheduled hearing next week. Will he and his attorneys cancel, or won't they?

I see thanks for clarifying. This is all surreal, a very solemn feeling happiness almost as if I’m not okay with the plea deal, but am at the same time.

They may change it to a status hearing, but it might take a while because GW4's attorneys have to meet with him and draw up the detailed plea agreement - like the one Jake has signed. It's a lot of paperwork, etc.

That will be interesting. I have a feeling it will go forward, Could be a repeat of today. That would leave Billy and Angela twisting in the wind.

Thank @PrairieWind . She gave us a tutorial on plea agreements and how the lawyers and judges structure them to make them work. She did that back when Rita Newcomb made her agreement.

The sentencing comes at the end, after the witness has cooperated to the satisfaction of the judge. I assume in Jake's case, that will be after he testifies against the others.

Judge asking Jake to say he is withdrawing his pleas of "Not Guilty" to each count.

Do you think GW4 will change his plea to guilty? His attorney has said all the evidence points to JW and AW. Since JW has now agreed to testify against his brother, wonder if GW4's attorney will change his tune.

Where is that smile coming from? He won't be smiling soon. Sick!

Every time he states "I am guilty", I hope the family feels a little comfort and a step closer to closure.

I think GW4 will realize that taking the death penalty off the record is significant and the best he could hope for. I think he will change his plea to guilty. George must understand that Jake must testify truthfully.

That is powerful to hear. Very powerful.
George ( and Billy , Angie) must be made aware of this statement.
I am guilty, your honor.
